Topic: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?

Posted By: sirdrakejr on 09/11/12 04:11pm

Not today, but next week the truck and TC go to my daughter and son in law. They are excited about getting it and driving it to Michigan. My days of travel for now are done and it will be good to see the family take over where I am leaving off. It has been a fun journey since 1966 when I used my first trailer to tow. A low of changes have occurred and the future for RVing still looks bright to me.

I took mine for a stroll from NC to N. Myrtle Beach and picked up old US 17 all the way down to Savannah for an overnight then proceeded down hwy 17 to Jacksonville, Fl and picked up US 1 down the coast to Ft Pierce for an over night then I-95 to Miami/Weston for an overnight down to Key West. On the way back to Miami proceeded through Alligator Alley to Naples to Cedar Key for an overnight and started back home through Gainesville, Fl via US 301 to Jacksonville and I-95 home to NC. Six great days of slow traveling and site seeing. Brought a fair share of love bugs that will all be washed off tomorrow

Got the TC ready for a casino rv parking weekend(roughing it,no hook-ups,lol)Its just north of Seattle so we will be heading back through the border with a full tank of cheap gas, food, booze and hopefully an invertor generator, and some slot winnings!!My idea of boondocking for now...

This is a mod I added. I do not now have to "kneel & bow" to the sacred dump connection on my Lance 1050S. It is very rigid. I used ABS glue to connect the extension to the clear plastic elbows, but not to the fitting on the Lance.

Thank you. The bottom is 2x2 angle iron and the top came from what was originally along the bottom. 3/4x one inch.

The door window trim/frame finally gave up and was cracking everywhere after 23 years. So I purchased a new window frame.....in the process of replacing it. Pulled it apart, cleaned and repainted the door, next is clean the window up and reinstall with the new frame assembly.
