My $0.02 worth... I have very few friends that are into the camping thing and I like to read what others are doing and enjoy reading about their pride and joy. This and the DIY forum are daily reading for myself and I am not liking the direction of the last few posts. If you do not want to read it don't, seems simple enough to me. Not trying to evoke any responses, just my opinion. 2008 F450 2007 Adventurer 85WS 2012 Haulmark "The Garage" 2016 Outdoors RV Glacier Peak 26 RKS |

I agree with Jimh425 we all read what we want to read and I like to see new ideas come in everyday. This thread is a constant reminder to me of what I have to do and can do with my TC. And I enjoy it. I do not need post only specific to my brand of TC all TC are basically the same so what one person does to thier TC I can most likely do to mine and if I only followed the Artic fox or in your case the Avion thread I would miss out on good ideas and motivation.

I have another thought, I just looked at the volume of posts and this thread it has thousands of times more action than any other thread (except photo, which is very similiar in manner to this thread). The idea of running a forum and making money on it is VOLUME, and this thread by far brings in the volume thus the money. This thread is the "facebook" of this forum, it lets you tell your forum friends what you were up to today. If you are so worried about this site go around and remove the threads that only have a few hundred post and leave the masses alone. |

This is one of my favorite threads also. I've learned about things that I probably wouldn't have even looked at. Also, folks are more apt to share a little information that they may not want to create a thread for.

Also one of my favorite posts. Reminds me of things I need to do. Reminds me of things I didn't even think to do. I don't see anyone opposing Sleepys marathon...why isn't he made to seperate each trip to a different post? Would seem to follow your reasoning... As to the Avion thread, I don't care a lick about Avions yet I read it hoping to see more pictures of peoples work on their campers no matter what type. No pictures, I usually move on. TimH

Thanks for everyone's responses. I think its time that I step away from this issue. Remember, I have nothing but respect and good wishes for the posters on this thread. My purpose was to raise questions about the viability of the overall Forum. I'm sure we'll revisit this and other ideas in the future.

Hi Rick. Sorry to have upset you, but the point was NOT that I didn't like the thread. But that it might be undermining the rest of the Forum. I hope you read all of the remarks so that you understand the issue. Ultimately it's up to our community to make sense of the directions we take, along with the owners and sponsors of RV.net. I don't know them or have any relationship to them. But most emphatically I do not call into question anyone's motivation.

I can see your point 67Avion, lots of great ideas in this thread but a big huge thread becomes cumbersome. I think some of the special projects should have their own thread. I think they would be easier to find and would add more life to the forum... otherwise, why have a sub forum just have 1 huge thread.
