I installed five new clearance lites in the front of the cabover part. I also repaired a small oil leak on the Generac generator. Getting ready for a seven day trip to the Redwoods.

Just finished 2nd coat on my Torklift Superhitch which was on my '08- 350. Surprised that there didn't seem to be a primer coat under the paint.Pretty rusty for 4 yrs.,and, I routinely clean under my vehicles throughly.

in the last 3 days I started out by adding an awning rail to the top of the camper . then I took the awning off an older pull behind that I have and installed it on the truck camper (it was the perfect width)had to make a front bracket out of steel and will also make a bracket to attach it to the leg for stability (I miss my welder). then I installed an outside shower and tied it into the bathroom plumbing . installed a porch light on the rear (was a pain to run wiring) and also added an outside electrical gfi outlet under the side so it is under the awning.

I bought a new smoke alarm today. It's on sale from ACE and it's a nice small one for 5 bucks! Can't go wrong with that!

Installed four new (to me) tires and rims on Saturday. Today, I finished buying the materials needed to install the tie-down system. Will begin working on the system Friday. Fun stuff. |

2006 Dodge SB, Palomino Bronco 1200...Plastic Bedliner... My truck has a plastic bed liner that I do not want to remove as I use my truck more as a truck than as a camper hauler. But my Palomino Bronco real slides around in the bed. So.... My bedliner is deeply ribbed: ![]() I need to put a couple 2X4s under the camper so it clears the sides of the truck. I have a roll up toneau cover that has a set of aluminum rails that run along the bed top edges. So to keep the 2X4s in place I nailed a couple pieces of half round molding that fits perfectly into the bedliner ribs: ![]() ![]() On the side that the camper sits on I stapled a few pieces of bicyle inner tube: ![]() ![]() Camper doesn't move at all now! I did some "Parkinglot Loops" to see if I could get it to slide around....Solid as a rock! Good job, simple fix when you think outside the box,you seem to be good at recycling the bicycle tubes. I love going green.
