A level cement pad makes things easier for sure, mine is on the grass and not level, maybe I should have some square ciment tile and try to have a better ground. Hey Kidoo: How about you mark where your tires are, with tent pegs, just before you unload your camper. Then as soon as you pull out and clear the camper (pulling straight forward), mark where your tires are at at that time ... again with tent pegs. Next time you go to load, line up on the second set of pegs and roll straight back until you line up with the first set of pegs. I also use the center line on my horse stall mats that lay in the bed and a center mark on the front of the camper. You should be real close. I actually have painted spots on my concrete that I line up with. Makes life easier. I HTH. Today I started the first maintenance on the Honda 3000. If anyone does their own maintenance (perhaps similar for a 2000) then would you mind dropping by THIS TOPIC and comment if appropriate. I am going to get some parts via mail, but if I do not get the stuff in time, is it OK do you think to use existing? Washed and waxed the truck and camper. Feel a little like the "Karate Kid". I can't imagine doing it on a 35 foot class A or trailer.

Since the camper is off the truck for more maintenance and with the storms in the Midwest heading my way I decided to put blocks & jackscrews under the camper for more support just in case. Topped off the propane tanks, fresh water, filled the truck with diesel. All that's left to load is food and some clothes for me and we are ready to head out early friday

Took it to Bondi's Island (sounds like a nice place to take a truck camper doesn't it?) There's a sewage treatment plant there where you can dump the RV for $1. That was our Lance 815's maiden voyage!

Re-installed the dinette cushions. Earlier I took the covers off for a good washing & inspect the foam and only need to replace one foam piece. Should be an easy fix. Still thinking about a full replacement down the road. Ford F450 6.7L PSD DRW 4X4 Arctic Fox 865 |

I replaced the little bulb that was in the range hood with a LED 30 unit. The factory bulb was so small I could have stuck it in my ear. With a black range hood and stove top, the light my wife had to work with was deplorable. I realized a cook has to be able to see the food they are cooking. I guess you call this a win-win situation.
