Looking good ! The white panels you used on the walls on the lower half are they polystyrene ? I think I have seen similar at HD/Lowes and wondered how hard it would be to make the curve in the corner. It looks like you installed it over the existing aluminum wall panels is that correct ? Did you use any adhesive or just screws/rivets ? How high up the wall did you go ? How about a pic in the rear corner ? Thanks

Here is the original panel.

You can see that they put a spacer where it was too short on the bottom and the front.

The new panel was made to notch around the window and go up to above the sink and below the medicine cabinet. I used new Vinyl to cover the rest of the walls above the FRP. The FRP was attached with a couple of horizontal rows of white rivets on the curved piece. I didn't attach it with any more than I needed. The front FRP panel was attached to the 1/4" plywood (through the new vinyl) with stainless steel #4 screws (through the trim pieces).

By the way, FRP cuts real easy with a 1/16" thick x 4-1/2" metal angle grinder wheel.

There is currently a gutted Avion on Detroit metro CL

It's like half the work has already been done. Ok, not half. 1/10th.

That gutted camper looks like a good start. It is hard to tell the condition from the one picture, but it looks decent.

I am testing my shower pan today. So far, so good. I will let the standing water sit overnight.

My FiL made some rubber internal mud deflectors for the truck bed, in front of the tires. They turned out real nice.

Here are a couple of pictures of the new medicine cabinet with the original mirror. This one is stainless steel and is 5" deep.

I really tried to find a plastic replacement, but I'm glad I went ahead and had it made out of stainless steel.

Nice looking MC . Mine did not come with a MC and I was planning to put in a recessed one as you have . When I was plumbing for the grey tank I realized that was not going to happen as the vent stacks are in the wall right behind where it should go . I ended up making one out of plastic trim boards and using PVC cement to put it together . The hardest part was figuring the fit to the curved wall so the mirror would face proper . The back is sheet aluminum painted white to take the curve . The mirror door and hinge came from an old MC I got at a yard sale .

What did your fiberglass guy do to the parts ? Did he reinforce them ? Did he respray them with gelcoat or paint ? Whatever he did they look very nice and you have helped me make some decisions on my plan for my camper.

I actually made some cuts in the piece that is under the closet flange and put some wood to hold them where I wanted them to stay and he reglassed them in that position. I would have made some minor changes, but I missed them. He repainted them just like he would do for an in house fiberglass shower or tub. They do those in place.

I had him reinforce the shower pan and encase the foam insulation that is under the pan. It is a lot stronger now and it doesn't weigh that much more.

ticki2, our lavatory is very similar. Yours has the same shower head mount. My shower head was bad, but I wanted to keep the mount. I bought a piece of 1/4" aluminum rod and bent it with an offset. I then used large electrical shrink sleaving to attach it the the shower head. The black band is that shrink sleaving.

69Avion ,I'm not sure what you are saying about the mount and shower head . I replaced my shower head also with one from an RV dealer , it simply screwed on , I thought the ones for household use had the same thread .

The lavatories are similar but not the same . Mine just has a screw flange along the 2 wall sides , I notice yours has a small lip against the wall sides .The toilet surround in mine is one piece , yours is two , yours had a MC , mine didn't . Lots of subtle changes between your 69 an my 68 .
