Topic: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photos

yeah I've been scouring different websites usually e-trailer is really nice because they do a quick video about all of their parts and actually measure them for you on screen and that's really handy but so far no luck. When I last cleaned out my barn I had the 8-ft section of this part and figured I'll just buy a new one anyway I don't need to save this and now I'm kicking myself

Probably was a Thetford valve, I think the flanges are larger size square than the Now more common Valterra ones. You can get Thetford stuff, but I think it will cost more and harder to get parts as time goes on.

This is what you need, the flange they show in one of the photos on this VTS listing for the valve.

Excellent, thank you! The hunt begins again. Looks like Amazon has them for $43 with prime delivery. I can accept $30 more to not need a replacement tank. Thanks again!

I believe you need 08708

Well shoot Ticki I just ordered it early today but it is on prime so I can return right away if its not the one. Any reason you think I need the longer socket? I feel like it wont fit all the way in and the one I order has an o-ring that should make a nice seal?

The 08707 has an O ring for a slip fit , that’s all that holds it on . The 08708 has a hub to glue the pipe on . I would not trust just a slip fitting in this situation.

Just corrected my order. Unfortunately most of these places only show one side of the dang fitting so I only saw the slip fitting and thought it was the tank side connection. So I'm guessing the side they don't show does have a gasket? This is why I really like etrailer's page.

You can switch to Valterra fittings at the pipe outlet if you choose they are easier to find at any RV dealer . Both brands fit standard ABS pipe . The two brands are not interchangeable as far as fittings , ie ,hose connections , caps , etc..

Thanks Ticki!
