Dick its astonishing. A beautiful handmade and crafted camper. Time to hit the road with my old running mate Rasta - we shall make Jamaican Jerk Chicken - and visit Terlingua on the way to Muley Point. At last! ![]() |

Oh, I like this idea! Spicy chicken under the desert sky. Three Avions in various configurations in one spot. Adult beverages and fellow travelers. Yah mon. You said it, D. At last! I know that I’m headed to Flagstaff in mid-May for the Overland event. Before and after open to all considerations. |

I'm glad you said, 5 years, because if you wiped that up over the off-season I would feel inadequate. I know how much work goes into rennos, I have done 4 and built up one from a moving van. You did a great job. I was beginning to wonder if you were a former manufacturer of custom RVs. I bet you never want to do this again. Go have fun |

Dick, that’s probably one of the finest examples of expert craftsmanship I’ve ever seen. Being able to work at that level in metal, with all of those curves and contours is no small feat, and is just awe inspiring. Take a bow, man. You deserve it. ![]() ![]() |

Very well, it looks like we have a plan for the Ultimate Avionista Experience (UAE). It begins in Terlingua, Texas where the notorious Rasta has a place where Jamaican Jerk Chicken miraculously appears in the desert accompanied by sounds of Bob Marley. It continues onto the ultimate vista, Muley Point, Utah. The goal of Avionistas who seek eternal life - At least for their campers. All Avionistas and their friends are invited to this Jamaican jerk chicken, Rum, and cannabis celebration. That especially includes Seldom Seen and the Great Whazoo. Whoops, its in Utah and Texas so the cannabis may not be allowed. Whatever. Onward! DG * This post was edited 09/17/19 09:42am by 67avion * |

Wow, what a great thing, Argo is amazing! Besides the increadible aluminum structure the interior aesthetic looks fantastic. I also like how you preserved most of the hard lines of the original layout, so it is still recognizable on the inside as C-11.

The Roundup at Muley Point - that has a nice old west quality to it. It’s a grand idea, D; let’s definitely make this happen. Springtime in the desert. April would be good month in the Great Basin, also in Big Bend. And by then all you northern Avionistas will be jonesing for some warm and dry...

And thanks again, fellow travelers, for all your gracious comments about Argo. I’ll be pouring drinks from the side bar at Muley Point!
