Gary, I looked for my installation of the jack brace but finally gave up. I found these images on Photobucket, of all places. We had plates fabricated that matched above and below the wings. the plates were much larger than the original supports.![]() ![]() I also replaced the tie downs that were rotten. ![]() ![]() |

Hope everyone has been doing well. I haven't had much time to get on here and continue with the archival process, I'm a little over halfway though. I'll continue it as I can and hopefully be able to make something available to everyone. In other news, the Facebook group continues to grow; currently at 24 members. A few of those members are searching for one of these fine campers, so hopefully they will join our ranks. To assist in that, I've been scouring the internet trying to help them find one. As I write this, I've been able to find 13 C10/C11s currently for sale across the US. I have around seven more months to go before I'm able to move back to Kansas and start back on my C10. |

Thanks for all your efforts to catalog and save all the years of information, blood sweat and tears poured into these campers for future folks to learn from. Thanks!!! Garry

The PO and I had been using the brackets as the tie down. I think the roads and rough travel that I have put the Avion throug nor having dedicated separate tie downs may have lead to the final failure. As shown above in the previous post. I intend on using the sandwich method and may add an interconnecting plate to tie the wing to the upright of the tub. More later!! Garry |

Congrats on your Facebook Group, unfortunately I don't do Facebook so I will be a member in spirit only. I sold my Dodge 3500, so at the moment my 65 C10 is immobile. I am contemplating mounting it on a trailer, but not sure how that will look. So you might be able to add mine to the list of 'for sale'. I really hate to part with it after almost 3 years of work and never used it. Oh well |

66C10, Would you mind posting a link, or the exact name of the FB Avion group you spoke of, please? I couldn't find it with the searches I did (but I found several others). Thank you!

I believe we had a member in here that had his mounted on a trailer, I remember seeing it during this archival process, I believe it was 69 Avion. |

66C10....I have seen pictures of truck campers on trailers however I have yet to see an Avion. Yes I think it was 69Avion who put his in a truck bed trailer... I am currently working on modifying my trailer...so I/we will see how it looks and works out hopefully soon. One issue I am undecided about is the overhang at the rear that sits lower than the main body,( i cant remember what it is called). I am undecided if I should attach spacers to the camper or build a platform for it to sit on. A platform would seem simple enough however i am concerned that I would then have to deal with not only the platform moving on the trailer, but also the camper moving on the platform. As always suggestions are welcome |
