Howdy!
Yes, we have a pair of 8in aluminum I beams attached to the camper floor. It gives enough room
for a basement to house more modern black, gray, and water tanks, a porch, and front bumpers. Hope this answers your questions.

Hey Cajun! I've got that exact one. Tow my Suzuki Samurai with it. We can compare the setups at the Avionista Gathering at Rastaman's Florida country place next month.

Ok Folks
Need your help.
A Friend of mine bought a c10. This is located in CT.
My C11 is located in Virginia.
we both are looking for a way to ship it over.
We need the Exact dimensions for the c10 and the c11 with and without the jacks.
Maybe it will fit in a Container, wich makes everything much easier
The shipping companies are a bit complicated.
Thanks in advance for your help

My 1968 C11 Measures 188 inches long from the rear doorknob to the weatherstrip on the front window. The width is 93 in. from the outside of the latch on the LP door to the screw heads of the moulding on the opposite side. My height measurement wont do much good as I have removed things from the roof and messed with the bustle. Depending on the orientation of the tripod bases, my jacks only add 1/2in. per side to the width. However to get the truck underneath, I must rotate the tripods so that one leg faces out, adding about 16in. per side. I expect others will have some different numbers.

My C-11 is similar .
Bottom of floor to top of furnace chimney is 86" ( no AC )
Note: C-10 has different furnace .
Jack support angles are 2-1/4" less than width of 92" on each side .
Jack heads are 9" from mount plate to square crank key .
Total width with jacks is 92 -5 +18 = 105". ( As Silver pointed out the bottom feet of jacks will stick out farther .
Bustle hangs down from bottom of floor 8"
3" drain hangs down an additional 3-1/2"

I think if you were planning to put a camper in a seacan you are going to need to someone to build a custom pallet for it to sit on. The forklift would then be able to lift it up enough from the back (or front) end to push it in and pull it out without issue otherwise you are going to have a heck of a time getting it out.

I finally procured myself an Avion C-11. Saw pics from the seller, sent $$ and then drove a looooong way to pick it up. Thankfully the description was accurate. I struggled to find any real problems with the exterior shell. Minimal if any dents. That was my only requirement. Was told there were some soft spots in the floor which I interpret as a total loss. The interior is what you would expect for 35+ years. Not abused, just tired.
The plumbing is in poor shape. As are the appliances. I think I paid too much but you have to make an emotional purchase once in a while. While some may not like it, the plan is to shorten it down to fit my short box truck. Basically from the last rib before the overhang, it will remove 21" which will be perfect. Also to jettison much of the extras inside. Don't need AC, dont need an oven. Heater will get replaced. Will go with a small 2 or 3 burner drop in stove. Will get a simple contained chemical toilet. Actually if one could integrate a smoker in it, that would be awesome. Camping by a lake with the smell of meat smoking.....life would be complete.
I am TBD on the overhang length, it may get shortened 6". Dont know yet.
There are a bunch of good riveting videos on the 'Tube' you can get some wisdom from thankfully. Turns out people sell airplane kits in sheet aluminum you just rivet together so it is a well understood and supported process aside from all of the learnings on the forum here.
Don't quote me on this but I have a target dry weight of 1500 pounds ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
I considered pressure treated for the wood replacement as I don't have much concern once it has fully dried and off gassed but what we have in my area needs to not come into contact with aluminum so will go the route others have done with normal plywood and epoxy coating. Easy enough.

Thanks a lot Ticki
Thanks a lot Silver
thats what i nearly expected.
i woud habe to add some grease on each side to fit the bird in the container.
I asked at 5 different shipping companies to get some quotes.
Each company wants to put it in a container....
they say there can be no aditional parts in the Camper.
So what is aditional? The Jacks belong to the Camper. But neither the shipping agents nor the coustoms know what the system of a truck camper is...
I thought of unmount the jack supports to win a few inches. added up its a lot, because the calculat the maximum of each wdth, length hight. To save a few inches here and there will end up in a few hundred dollars
So its a bit difficult
Thought its much easier
Where do you store your tripods while driving?
