NE Pennsylvania Avionistas? We'll be there! I bet Rastaman will make it too. Ticki? Let's do this.

Not sure where NE Pennsylvania is from my neck of the woods, however it sounds like fun....I thought we were doing a Florida 'hook up' :-)

My C10 (Armadillo) is getting close, the interior is almost back in, then it will be sorting out the gray water situation and the cosmetic stuff. photos coming soon.

Rastaman - NEPA is a full days drive North for you. Just follow the snowbirds in April. If you see Garryk, you went too far.

For a grey tank, I was considering just carrying one of those portable wheeled tanks but wasn't sure where to stash it while going down the road.

The current dilemma.

A previous owner had spun a bearing on the right rear wheel. This chewed up the spindle pretty bad. I have been running a tight preload and 'feeding it' new bearings as needed which has worked fine for shorter trips. That was with a few hundred pounds of tongue weight, not a bed full of Avion.
Turns out, not only can this be repaired, but it can be done roadside. I might not be out of the game yet, still trying for a Florida meet.

Silver....thats funny....a days drive isnt bad and it will be new scenery for me....April will not work for me as I will be headed down to the big bend area for a few weeks.

For gray water I am still contemplating a network of pvc piping???just have not gotten there yet..my hands are still full of other stuff.

Btw are you doing solar?....and if so are you planning to permanently mount them. I use a couple of 100 watt panels 2'x4' that will be need to be portable as I use them in other locations.
I am thinking of building a rack of sorts to transport them under the bunk over the cab, or between the back glass and the front of the camper or under one of the wings.

If any one has done this I would welcome some ideas

good luck with your axle.

I'm game for a meet up wherever.

It used to take about 19hrs from Dysfunction Junction(I275+I4) via I95. That was by car. For scenery and sanity, skip I95.

I too have some 2x4 panels I was planning to mount on the roof. There are two of the same on my sailboat. They put out 15w and weigh almost 10lbs each. Must have been why they were free. I have since come to my senses and decided not to use these on the road. For now, just a GoalZero 50w on the dash of the truck. The truck is wired to charge the camper batteries.
I like your idea of a portable rack under the overhang. Some type of sliding tray would be nifty. A roof mount would be much more effort and expense.

I have stumbled upon an alternate dinette 'mode'. The designers at Avion were years ahead of their time.

Only wish I had noticed it before spending all that time making a table.

Glad to see there is someone out there still posting :-)
I guess everyone is out there enjoying their rig.

Put in a full day on 'Armadillo' today....its coming together nicely...almost ready to post some interior pics.

Just about to hit the road myself. Im very short on time and money, probably can't get to Florida this time around but we'll see. Ill consider myself lucky if I get far enough South to see a Chic Fil A.
