Howdy! The pictureman is back! I really like the propane box what?s made of? Those drain vents how did you plug them. I just used pipe test plugs( not very elegant). Is that a drain screen? The reason I am so interested is the way the pipe seals to the roof. It needs something bigger and smaller than the vent pipe(kinda of like the TARDIS). Beautiful pictures! Thanks! |

Avion C-11 wrote: Garry, Those two vents are stock. One was just a vent for the sink and shower drains. The other was the toilet tank vent. I will use the drain vent as a grey tank vent and the other the same way as before for black. Mine had one vent opening since they connected the two vent lines together in the wall that separates the wet bath from the living area. (the wall the furnace is in) C-11, you are doing an awesome job. I like that water fill that you found. Most of the new ones are really cheap looking. The propane box is the original one painted with thick textured epoxy paint. I think it is galvanized steel. The vents on the roof have a tube socket that is part of how the piece was made. The PVC pipes that come up through the wall plugs right into them. I'll take some pics next time I'm in there. Happy Camping! Avioncamper.wordpress.com

Avion C11, since you've taken the heater vent out, what sort of heating are you planning to use?

I like a propane Brick heater, Saves on my batteries, and makes enough heat I can leave the windows cracked open.

Some nice work going on here. This morning I bit the bullet and ordered a 20 lb. horizontal LP bottle from AdventureRV.net. With shipping $170.00 delivered to my door I was tired of looking for used original bottles. This will leave me some room in the LP storage box for maybe the freshwater hose and a few more items. Yes the box is galvanized I too will clean mine up and paint it with something.

Was able to find it at Walmart but there are several kinds of Kool Seal. Be sure to get the grey aluminum kind. You will also want an electric mixer as this stuff is B**** to mix. Lots of fibers and stuff in it. |

Either of these will work. I used the 20-400: http://www.koolseal.com/product_family.asp?family=aluminum |
