Topic: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

Posted By: robbins1 on 09/07/11 09:44am

Inspired by a post from another member I made a burner cover. Had the materials on hand and had thought about it a number of times. Usually when out somewhere. Just needed incentive. More counter space is always welcome!

Finally finished installing the CD/MP3 deck today. Has a remote so I can operate it while I'm driving. It mounted nicely in the side of a tall cabinet over the fridge. One speaker fit in an end cabinet and the other mounted on the opposite side outside the bathroom wall. I'm keeping the junk radio in the dash so it won't be as tempting to thieves. Going to put a small towel rack above the radio so it can't be seen through the windows when we're parked.

It draws a lot less power when reading a thumb drive full of MP3s than when it's playing a CD so I loaded up about 5 GB of music for on the road. Over the winter I'll add a sub-woofer to one of the utility cabinets on the floor.

So far I've: installed a Trik-R-Start.
deativated the drl's.
installed 2meter ham antenna.
installed a seat belt and a catalytic heater [I like living on the edge]. replaced both cable operated dump valves.
a backup camera.
replaced all interior bulbs with led's.
replaced the shower sprayer with a dish sprayer.
replanstalled refer and outside temp indicator.
rotated and balanced tires.
oil and filter, polished.
replaced the house battery.
brake job.
guess that's about it.

Took the RT to our local Chevy dealer yesterday to check the fuses set up for the whole vehicle. My 2 cigarette lighter fuses were burning out. The technician found the problem. It was a bad socket in both cases. (Not unusual I'm told...)

Also had all belts and hoses, fluids checked.
All is well there. I gave a tour of our Roadtrek to some of the service people there. I got some questions like... "You have a shower in there???" [emoticon]

I changed my Genny oil today. Lots of fun under the RT! Now that I've done that task a few times, it has become old hat. Having a pillow under my head while doing the job makes it a lot easier. [emoticon]
