Topic: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

Posted By: JimBollman on 08/07/18 09:00pm

I converted my two fluorescent fixtures to LED today. Removed the electronic ballast and rewired. Went smooth, looks brighter and I went with the warmer LEDs so when I had one of each going it looked very yellow compared to the cool white fluorescent but once they were both converted they looked white again. Brain does a great job correcting colors if you take away the reference color. Should use less than half the power that the fluorescent did. Not cheap but I like the power saving. This is what I used.

The rest of the bulbs for converting should be here later this week, getting them from SuperBrightLED.com.

Took the Class B out to run some errands. I stopped at 3 garage sales and two of them the owners asked about my van.

We had s yard sale yesterday that included a tour of our Sprinter because a visitor said "I heard you have a van style RV out back and I never saw inside one".

Well not exactly today but yesterday we returned from the shack down trip for our new to us 1999 Jayco. 3 days, 2 nights and roughly 600 miles. Everything worked fine but I have a lists of mods to make over the next month or so to make it the way we want.

What I did do today was break the ties to my old slide in camper, when the new owner picked it up and handed me a stack of cash.

I'm almost embarrassed to say I have been spending the past few days taking my workshop in the garage apart and oh-so-carefully packing it into my Class B in preparation for moving. The good news is we are moving to more space so we can put up a barn for the Sprinter AND my workshop, so it's a win for me and for the Class B. [emoticon]

I started putting a front hitch on mine. Gave up 90 minutes into the estimated 20 minute job. It is going to a shop tomorrow that has a lift and I will pay them to finish.

Replacement console will show up on Monday giving us better cup holders and more storage space.

Drove the B to work again today since it is so nice. Ate lunch in it this time.

Researching getting the flooring replaced in the kitchen area of the rig. It's spongy so something's amiss. Been out using it for camping too.
