Great pic and looks like a very pretty camp site. Your pic is a stark reminder of all the things I still need to buy.

It's all about getting the maximum enjoyment out of your trailer. After we had a wonderful time on our cross-country road trip with the Premier, my wife and I returned to our favorite campsite to close out the summer. We discovered that they were offering seasonal sites and decided to purchase one. It's been awesome because it makes it so much easier to just hop into the car on a Friday afternoon and take off for a weekend get-a-way. We were able to use the trailer much later into the winter (into November) and start much earlier (in February). Now, we're able to go almost every second weekend. Another advantage of going so often is that the weekends truly become very relaxing because there are fewer things that need to get done each time we go. We get to our site, put out the slides, unpack our clothes, and then I scratch my head because there's nothing for me to do. I'm still getting use to it. All that's really left is to build a fire and crack open a cold one ![]() We bought a Thousand Trails membership so we do have the option of using other campgrounds, but we really like our "home base" that we really don't have a desire to try other places right now. We are planning a trip down the Oregon coast this summer, though, and that should be fun. garysol, it looks like the seasonal site you have is beautiful. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours ![]() 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali ~ 2010 Keystone Premier 31BHPR ~ Sold: 2009 Tango 289BH ProPride 3P Hitch ~ RV Modifications ~ Gear & Accessories ~ Road Trip 2010 ![]() |

On y'alls seasonal sites, is there a rule that you are supposed to be at or visit your TT at least every 3 days or anything like that? That is the only thing stopping us from setting up at a seasonal site, our first choice is "every 24 hours". Our 2nd choice is "we would like for you to check on it at least every 3 days" I'm sure it is really up to the camp host which I am planning on talking to this week if I can get up there. Those are really the only 2 options we have close to here. And it is a big difference between those 2! *Edited spelling because of fat thumb on little phone buttons* 2009 Chevy Z71 CrewCab 2010 Bullet Premier 31BHPR |

We can visit and stay as little or as often as we like. The only "rule" that I am not crazy about is that the site is entirely my responsibility so I need to keep the grass cut, the trees trimmed and the lot must be kept up. If I fail to cut the grass it will be done for me at an exuberant price. So with that said we will be there weekly to at least keep the grass cut |

At our seasonal site it's come whenever we want. The people next to us were only there 3 times last year so the owners told us and we've not seen them yet this year. We've actually only seen maybe 4 TT's with people there while we've been at our site. Many times we've been the only people there. I can't really complain about that. Our site is 3 hrs from home. We are supposed to weedeat but last time we showed up it was done. I think the owner hired a helper for a few weeks. Not complaining about that. The reason I think he ask that we weedeat is so that they don't get to close to the TT and risk bumping into something. Otherwise they mow for us. Full hookup at site but we have to pay approximately $100 for 6 month of electric. It's on a meter and if we go over the rate then we pay. So far we're under the $100. Not really a concern. The only rule that (I remember) we have at ours is that we can only camp a maximum of 250 days of the year. Since both my wife and I work, it's not a problem. We do pay a flat rate per month for electricity and they cut our grass, but they don't get too close to the trailer so I have to remember to bring my trimmer next time. It also works well for us, because I'd otherwise have to pay storage fees elsewhere if I didn't have the seasonal site. |

garysol wrote: ![]() I wanted to share this with my Bullet Premier brethren. The family decided this weekend to become seasonal campers at our favorite campground on our favorite site. I am not sure I would have chosen a light weight trailer had I known it would be used as a seasonal but o well. Here is a picture of our 31bhpr in her new home. Being seasonal will allow us to use our Bullet many more weekend than if we were towing. Hope we made the right move..... ![]() I really liked the 31BHPR but the DW didn't like how the entertainment wall was right at the foot of the master bed. Is that a problem for you guys? I think that with a corner shower it would be perfect... Happy Camping! 2014 KZ Inferno 3712T 2015 Ford F350 DRW Platinum 6.7L 2010 Ford F250 Crew Cab 6.4L ![]() |

The seasonal idea sounds good after I see what the open road has to offer. Problem for me however is I doubt I would find any CG in NJ that I would want to be seasonal at. Unless its a state park, ( Turkey Swamp in Freehold NJ is great)- its my understanding eveything is stacked on top of each other. BOOO. Of course I love the Pine Barrens and the NJ Shore but I think we will be very picky on where we stay. |

I have a question. I am thinking of going to a marina where my Father docks his boats etc. I am having a hard time figuring out what to use to hook it to the dock power. My Dad says they only supply 30 amp service but they are 4 prong plugs ??? That confuses me but he is going to double check as well. Basically whats needed is a 3 prong camper female to a 4 prong shore power male. Does anyone make this or is there another way ?? My Dads is homemade but I'm thinking there has to be something ?? Thanks !!!! |
