Then you could use felt/rubber strip to seal around the edges. Might be better than two sided velcro strips.?? That sounds like a better idea if the plexiglass will clear the overhead light as it swings open...... Thats what Im worried about. Once I get out to the storage lot later this week I will have a more warm and fuzzy about what Im going to do, but I will keep the hinges in mind, since I already have a few small ones in the garage. Instead of hinges, you could also frame the outside of the plexiglas and leave the right side of the frame open to allow you to slide the plexigals to the right. Kind of like a closet door. On a side note, you could use some thin sheet wood or high density cardboard instead of the plexiglas to keep it as close to the factory look as possible. garysol wrote: ![]() So how are we going to mount the Velcro strips to the wood frame so that the strips do not pull off every time we take the Plexiglas off in order to spin the TV around?? I like 3M products and I find that the adhesive backing they have on their Velcro is pretty strong compared to no-name cheaper ones. Just prepare both surfaces properly (I clean it with rubbing alcohol) and it stays on well even after constant use. I did something similar to cover a bedroom roof vent, except I didn't run the Velcro all the way around because I wasn't worried about gaps: I think with an even bigger strip of Velcro, there's even less chance of it coming off the wood trim. Also, my personal preference is to put the "hook" side on the removable part and the "loop" side on the permanent side. (BTW, I have no relationship with 3M so there's no ulterior motive for me to promote them other than the fact that it works for me.) Instead of using Velcro, some kind of clamping or hook system that would hold the Plexiglas flat against the trim should work, too. A roll of magnet strip like this is possible, too: http://www.xump.com/science/MagnetStrip.cfm 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali ~ 2010 Keystone Premier 31BHPR ~ Sold: 2009 Tango 289BH ProPride 3P Hitch ~ RV Modifications ~ Gear & Accessories ~ Road Trip 2010 ![]() |

Just got back from storage and the opening is 25w x 21h. I am using plexiglass so that I can still use the tv outside and have the bug-free kids room inside. I checked the clearence with reguards to the overhead light and there IS NOT room for it to swing on hinges (BOOO!). The only bad news is that the piece of plexi that I bought is 18x24, so back to home depot I go and will try again later this week. @RainbowsEnd.... Consider the Miller's jealous of that view. Hello to everyone ! I want to say this place is awesome. I found it just searching the net. How lucky can one get to find 65 pages on the trailer I'm getting. I have learned more than the dealer knows lol. O.K., we just bought a 31BHPR with body paint and comfort pack ( which I learned about here ![]() I notice there isn't much talk on price untill the very end. I don't know if thats looked down on here being new but can't help but wonder if I got a good price. MSRP was 36,751 or something and I got it for 24,500. I also got every penny I paid for my Pop up. I am new to towing a rig this big but have my Dad to help me pick it up etc. Any tips on manuevering this thing or turning etc is appreciated. I am decently skilled in driving. I will be pulling it with a 2011 F150 Limited with a max tow of 7200 for some reason over the regular trucks with the 6.2 litre that tow 11,100. They are installing a equalizer WDH for me at the dealer. Our demo is Saturday if anyone has any advice on things to look for. I have a list of things from this thread but please feel free to mention anything you feel is important. Another question I have is to go with a Good Sam or the dealer on extended service. I have done tons of research and reading on all of these topics but again I am new to TT's etc. Thanks for all and any help in advance guys. So glad I found this forum !!!!!!! Happy camping ! |

@dgksleeper... 24.5k is a really good deal. I paid 26k for my 31bhpr, 10k equalizer wdh, and prodigybrake control out the door. As far as towing just make sure that you give yourself a wide birth when turning. A 36 ft trailer is no joke. As far as the drawers go we have been out about a half a dozen times and have yet to have any issues (knock on wood). We went away from pop ups while my wife was prego with our youngest daughter a few years back and have not missed it one bit. Hope that your family enjoys the Bullet as much as we do. |

Thanks for all and any help in advance guys. So glad I found this forum !!!!!!! Happy camping ! Welcome to the Keystone Bullet family. We've had ours this past week at local campground doing a spring move in. We also traded up from a popup. We have the 28rlpr which is smaller and works great for just the two of us and room for guest. I think the price you paid was fair and you should be happy with it. If you've read the forums you've seen some discussion on walk through. Have them show you the connection from the grill to the camper. Is that propane line long enough? When they switched model grills the propane line wasn't long on many. Might as well have them get you one that fits right off before you leave. Discuss the labels on the tank, gray vs black, are they marked correctly? We video taped our entire walk through. ![]() Hope all goes well, time to make those memories! pssssst don't forget to post pics ![]() |
