garysol, unless you can justify the cost, I personally wouldn't do it. While it looks great, your camper will FUNCTION just like mine when you take delivery. When I got my trailer, I couldn't justify the cost.

garysol congrats on your order. That is one sweet TT! If I had found one painted I would have been thrilled and found a way to pay the extra $ for it. Ours came direct off a local dealers lot and doesn't have the paint. If I had the $ and would have ordered it direct from factory I may have been tempted to get it. I feel your pain at this decision. We also had to purchase a new TV for ours (2010 F250 diesel) and with that type of gas mileage (or lack thereof) we've also just bought a new in town car. Lots of "gots" lately. I'm happy with ours and can't wait to get it out this season. Some say the decals haven't lasted as good as they thought but does paint hold up any better? The paint is dark in areas which is a heat attractor but is it enough to make a difference to the TT? Probably not. It sure is beautiful. As one member here said once you are inside often so don't even see the look of it. However, when you do look it is one awesome beauty! I think when we simply want something we can always find the reasons to back up our decisions. I'd love to hear from others that have the paint to say how its held up. Be sure to share pictures when you receive it. Again congrats! F250 Diesel Lariat Laissez les bons temps rouler! |

I'll say yes, I do feel the paint will hold up better than the decals but with that said we have covered storage so the reality is for us at least the paint would only be for cosmetics and MAYBE a little more resale value but I won't kid myself into thinking that maybe we would recoup maybe a third of the paint price after 5 years.

garysol wrote: ![]() The answer to my above question is apparantly 4 weeks. Today we placed our order for a new 31BHPR and it's due in sometime towards the end of Febuary. We ordered it without body paint but to be honest I really love the way the paint looks and I am having a hard time not changing my order to include it. Come on guys...... Talk me out of it!! I think it depends on the price, because I agree...the full paint does look nice.. A dealer quoted me $8000 additional for the paint...when I balked, he came down to $3750, which he said was their cost..at $3750 it is probably worth considering...you will get that back in resale. I am waiting for an Evergreen... |

I was quoted 3.5k for the paint.....Apparently a very good price for it but still a lot of coin to us.

I bought my 2010 bullet 294bhs in july 2010. Been out several times and love it. bought this model due to the large back bedroom for my eldery mother. She can watch tv, use a card table to build puzzles etc as well as change in her own room rather than stand in the living common area. As for the curtains, they provide visual privacy, not audio privacy. Partner and I need to be quiet when moms traveling with us. The curtains help to lessen the load and they detach and wash easily and can be copied to reproduce your own with fabrics of choice. Love my bullet.

I just went out to check On mine today and measured the door, the door is 19" high and 29" across, so the actual opening will be a little bit smaller than that. 2009 Chevy Z71 CrewCab 2010 Bullet Premier 31BHPR |
