So happy it worked out for Rocky. We learn new stuff every day and the internet makes it pretty easy to share. The xylitol is a BIG NO-NO for dogs. It can actually kill them by causing a low blood sugar. We left Ohio last Saturday, delayed by 1 day due to the Storm. Made it to St. Augustine Monday and we will be here until March 12th. We were able to find spots a long Florida’s east coast through April 15th before we start heading home. It was pretty cold last Saturday traveling especially Saturday night we spent in Wythesville Virginia. It dropped to 17 degrees burrr!. Feels great to be out. This is only the second real trip we have taken since we met Richard in Sue at the Ark in June of 2018. Xylitol put the scare into us some time ago. No way will we allow anything with it in our house, just in case a dog comes to visit. Don't know how it affects cats, but we're not taking any chances with Czarny; he likes to eat weird stuff.

Hi from Vegas everyone! Have been lurking as always. We're enjoying winter down here and I'm so thankful I got to do some traveling. Took the rig to Texas for a model show and a client job, took it down to Hesperia CA for my birthday. Hoping to do a cross-country this summer (hate summer travel, but the Nationals are in Omaha in mid-July). Love to all of you FOOFs

Hello FOOFs The wife and I took a little weekend getaway in the motorhome over Super Bowl weekend. We like staying at the Lazy Days resort in Tampa. It is very dog friendly and it's 5 minutes from the HardRock Hotel and casino so the wife can get her gambling fill. I am having issues with the upholstery in our motorhome. The cheap vinyl they use on the furnature is starting to fail. Both the front chairs have spots where the material is breaking down. There is an upholstery place located at LazyDays and they gave us an estimate for reupholstering the front two chairs. I got sticker shock but it's way cheaper than buying a new motorhome. They are going to use "ultra-leather" and they said I would never have an issue again. It's just very disappointing that I can't even get 5 years out of a brand new motorhome without having to reupholstering seats. I guess they don't make them like they used too. I hope everyone has a great day. Burch 2018 Miramar 35.3 Motorhome 3 fur kids (Monty, ZuZu and Pinto) Rainbow bridge (Murphy, Petie, Lola) |

Our Phaeton was about 12 years old when we re-upholstered our captain's chairs. We had it done at Mastercraft in Shipshewana by "LadyHawk." She does a lot of work for them and freelances on stuff like this. We bought the fabric from Mastercraft, choosing a more rugged material. We had to remove the chairs and take them in, then she redid them. They were beautiful. She did s great job. All total, it was half what two new chairs would have cost, and they were done in much better fabric. I thought it was expensive too, but pricing new ones was way more expensive. And we were nearby, so we were able to get by for the week she had them. I have to get the chairs out of the motorhome and the driver seat is a power seat. The person I spoke to said it was easy as there were only 4 bolts that hold the seat to the mont on the floor. He said I would be able to pull the power plug from the power seat. Hopefully I can get the chairs out without too much effort. I can get new seats cheaper that what the re-upholstery will cost but the new seats have the same crappy material on them as my current seats. I will eventually have to get something done to the dinette seat but I am hoping to get another year or so out of it. Burch |

It was more bulky than difficult, but Terry knew electronics. I do know that the sets plugged in, because our one Scottie liked to sit behind it when underway and he was always pulling the plug out. LOL It is true that new ones would have the same substandard material, so you are better off with reupholstering your own. Dale |

Wonder if you could get that new material that looks like leather but isn't. We love our sofa that has it, really soft.

It's been quiet around here. I have been on a diet the last three weeks and have been walking a lot. Since Monty is fat too (my male Papillon), I have been walking him too. He really likes taking walks but he gets tired quick. He is 11 years old and has blown out both back knees in the past so I don't want to overdo it. We took an almost 1 mile walk yesterday and I let him pick the pace (and try an pee on everything he passed) and he did well. Hopefully both Monty and I can get into shape soon. I have lost 10lbs and need to lose around 20-25 more. I have been eating grass and dirt and drinking a lot of water. The only day I cheat is on Saturday and I eat and drink what I want, but lower quantities than I did in the past. I am taking next Thursday and Friday off next week and the wife and I are going to the Strawberry festival in Plant City Florida. We are staying at LazyDays resort which is only 15 minutes down the road. I hope everyone is doing well. Burch |
