Hello everyone, just saying hi from Las Vegas. If any of you ever come through be sure to let me know. We have a new puppy named Beren who's keeping our older girl Nimrodel busy. I hope Richard is doing OK. I know he's in all our prayers.

cimac wrote: ![]() I have talked to Richard several times over the last few days. He has had more strokes, up to 5 now. He just got out of the hospital from the last one about 5 days ago. His sight continues to deteriorate, walking is more difficult and has some memory problems. He also has issues with staying awake, sleeping 12 or more hours a day. All things considered, his attitude is great and keeps trusting in God. He asks about the Old Fella Thread but his laptop computer has died, so between that and vision problems he cannot get on it. He is wearing a heart monitor to try and detect what might be causing the strokes. He misses everyone and asks we just keep praying for him. Charles Charles, have you talked to Richard since this last post? |

Hello everyone. I spoke with Richard a few days ago. He said he is doing good but still dealing with some issues from the strokes. He has a hard time seeing that is why he does not post much. I still check in everyday but rarely any posts anymore. I have to take my 3 dogs next week to get their annual checkup. Last year is cost me $1,200 for the 3 so I am saving my pennies and dimes. We have a long weekend trip planned in two weeks to Tarpon Springs. We really like going up there but it is going to be hot. The last time we had a trip was around the 4th of July and we had to come home to beat a hurricane. Hopefully we won't have that issue this trip. Hope everyone is doing well. Doing well here in central Florida. My screen room is finished and it really is nice, but it's been so hot I haven't spent much time there, but it will be great when the heat breaks. My trip to Virgnia next week was cancelled by the state park. It's too dry and water is scarce, so they closed the camp. I will reschedule when my daughter does as well. I was going to camp with them. It's raining this morning and it may rain most of the day. It is cooler though, so that's good. I check for this thread every morning over my coffee. I sure miss Richard's beautiful writing and always reminding me to tell someone I love them and pet my dog. We have a trip planned Labor Day weekend headed to Bryce Canyon. I almost wish our campground would cancel our reservations, or the people we are going with would want to stay home. I was already concerned about the drive out there (I hate heights) before they closed hwy 70. Does anyone know how hwy 50 is? I can only imagine between the mountains and traffic, I don't know which scares me more. Any information appreciated. 2017 Forest River Forester 3051S 2014 Ram DRW 3500 Laramie Crew Cab |
