Good morning FOOFs

We are camping in Navarre Beach Florida in the Santa Rosa RV resort. This place is a little pricey but it is very nice. We have a spot on the water. This is our first week off since last October when we traveled to Sevierville. I am hoping that work leaves me alone this week. We are planning a trip to Destin today to do some touristy things and eat lunch. There is an Irish pub that we are going to. On Mondays they have a Sheppards pie special so I'm going to try that. Not sure what else we will do this week. We will be heading back home on Friday. I wish this wasn't so far from our home as we really like this area and would come up here more often but it's 500 miles from us. With only having 3 weeks of vacation time, it really limits how far we can travel from home.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Burch

Burch we stayed there in 2014 in Winter for a week or so. Was on site 2 on the water. My wife follows them on Facebook and they have made some upgrades since we have been there. I really would like to go back. Maybe someday.

Glad you like our area! The Irish pub in Destin is fun. The whole of the ceiling and walls are covered in dollar bills. [emoticon] WE usually keep clear of that area as they have been working on US98 forever. I call it the world's longest construction project! Next weekend we are heading north from here to Three Rivers State Park for a few days in the new 5er, to get all the 'kinks' worked out [emoticon]

We ended up going back to the motorhome for lunch. We went to the boardwalk area across from the Irish pub and the weather was so nice, we wanted to be outside so we had lunch at our site. We are here until Friday so maybe we will make it another day.

We are on site 17 on the water. They have very nice landscaping between the sites. The only thing I don't like is they run the sprinklers twice a day and it's hard to sit outside when there is a breeze without getting wet. I wish they would run the sprinklers in the middle of the night.

We are really enjoying our stay and the weather has been very nice so far. Wish we would stay longer but we both have to be back at work on Monday.

Dale I am sorry to hear about Terry. I haven't been on the forum too much lately. It is hard for me to read what I type.. MY sight is failing in my right eye. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson and I am struggling with daily routine things. I sold the Montana camper yesterday, so we are now without a camper, The first time in thirty years we don't have a camper of some kind. IF any of you would like to visit we have a full hook up site available. YOU can stay as long as you like free. Water, electric and sewer. Come on down. hook up and stay a while. Okay I need to go so I will close for now wishing you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. it's hard to believe that I may have seen some of you for the lastime.

Thank you Richard. Terry told the nurse hours before his death that he had fought the good fight. He told me he just couldn't go on like this anymore. He was tired and wanted to sleep.

He had developed peritonitis and then went into septic shock. There was no coming back.

I hope the medicines they are giving you will help with your Parkinson's. There are still fun things you and Sue can do that don't involve an RV. God bless you and take care of yourself.

Not much posting here lately. I hope everyone is doing OK.

Our exterminator service made some calendars and the profits go to the local animal shelter. The calendars are full of pet pictures. They asked us to send in some pictures of our dogs. My two Jack Russells (both now at the rainbow bridge) are in the calendar! We sent pictures of all our dogs but the Jacks won out. Donna bought $100 worth of calendars (10 of them) and will be giving them out to family and friends.

I just went through the calendar again and saw where Lola made it in the December page. Can't believe I missed it the first time through. Then, I flipped the calendar over and saw more pictures on the back. Monty has his picture there! The only dog that didn't make the calendar was Pinto.

That's pretty cool, Burch. Your dogs are stars!

I'm doing okay. Trying to get the big motorhome emptied so I can put it up for sale. Everyone sales coach, especially older ones in good shape, are hot items right now. Sure hope so. Contemplating selling the toad as well.

Good morning everyone. I can't seem to operate the computer anymore. I have a hard time typing as I can't see that well. THe Parkinson is taking it's toll. I am not able to get up in the mornings. I am forgetful and get confused easily. I am still driving, but maybe not for long. I did manage to take a few turns on the Greenville Pickens Speed way the other day. didn't do too bad. it's a half mile track I turned five laps at 66.8 mph. The track record was set by David Pearson back in 1972 at 72,mph. So I didn't do that bad. I was driving a modified chevy with a 350 engine. Won't do that any more. Been told by my doctor I had a death wish. and if I continued with this wild behavior I could find another doctor to pick up the pieces. Oh well I just want to enjoy life as much as I can while I am still abe to do some things. I am going to close now wishing everyone blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me andbe sure to tell someone you love them. good bye for now, talk with your again soon, Dixie FLyer.

mY thinking is becoming erratic. I think I can do things that a much younger man might think of doing. Sue says she is becoming afraid of what I might do next Especially when she is not home to reign me in. OH well God is my co pilot where ever I go. I will just trust He will take care of me.
