Do any of you rember Sue Bray from the Good Sam club. She was instrumental in me being named the first Good Sam RVer of the year and presented me with the award on stage at the Rally in Albuquerque. She had just arrived in New Zealand when the Volcano exploded. Haven't heard from her since. She was on a vacation trip that has been going on for almost a year. She and her husband had been camping and posting on Facebook Book. Maybe some of you have seen her postings. Anyway I am worried about her and her husband and grandchild that was with them . I am assuming the child is a grandchild. But do not know that for a fact. Hope she is well.

Just decided we are going to Hilton Head after Christmas. Don't care how good or bad the eye sight is we are going. So if you happen to be on the road between Piedmont and Hilton Head and you see us coming down the road give me lots and lots of room. I'LL do the same for you.

Hello all Hope you hear from Susan Bray soon! The semester is officially over here, but we're still catching up on grading, will file grades next week. Today we shoveled out, er, cleaned (yeah that's it) the professor's office to make sure he hadn't lost any student work. I hate when that happens. As soon as we're done, and right after Christmas I'm taking Amroth and the rig down to Scottsdale for a couple days just to put my feet up, eat steak, drink hot chocolate and take walks. Can't wait. Be safe and healthy, y'all! Dogmom, Railfan, Dancer Co-Pilots: Nimrodel & Beren DOTLs: Spcs. See https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-50724944 for the current list. They do daily updates. Wishing Sue the best. |

Good morning everyone I heard from Sue Bray yesterday an she is fine, Glad she is okay/ Well the winter weather is raging all around us. Sleet and snow to the north of us while there is snow to the south of us. WE are getting rain and the temperature is hanging at 36 degrees with heavy rain right now. Gary Shapiro sent us a heated pad for the dogs some time back. Last night we put it out for the kitties, It is nice and water resistant. It has a hard plastic base with a cloth pad it has legs that raise it off the floor so air can circulate around and under it. I had bee concerned for the kitties sleeping on the front porch in the cold and this was the answer for them, Last nigh all fur were on the bed sleeping and comfortable. When I first went to check on them Fluffy was sleeping on top od midnight to keep her warm. That was when I decided to look for something that would make them more comfortable in the cold. When I would get up during the night I would check on them to see if they took to the heated bed and yes they did. Every time I would check on them they would be on the bed. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

Good morning everyone. Couldn't get out of bed this morning to go to church. The polymyalgia is back and the prednisone isn't helping that much. The prescription was changed to a generic brand so I guess I will have to go back to the doctor and get that changed. The eye is healed completely and my sight is good in my right eye. Praise God for that. I am missing the Christmas cantata at church this morning. If I feel better in a little while I will get dressed and go. Jamerson Daniel McMillan was born yesterday. A fine healthy baby boy. I have let it be known I am going to call him JD after my first cousin who served in WWII as a pilot escort for the B17's going into Europe to bomb Germany. He was stationed in England somewhere and he flew P51 Mustang. He was our family hero. When he got out og the air forcr he wanted to become a commercial pilot for the airlines. But was never hired by any one. Said his flight record wasn't that pristine. He took a few more chances than most. He once attacked a freight yard in Germany that was supposed to be off limits for some reason Anyway his side of the story he saw big guns on freight cars ready to be shipped to the front. so he decided to make sure they didn't make it. The only problem was there were forces in the area ready to destroy the freight yard. JD best them to it. That's his story. When he got back to base he was grounded for a few weeks. He said it was a win win situation for him. He got to bomb the enemy and wipe out some heavy artillery that was headed to the front lines so he figures he save American lives and on top of that got to stay at base for a little R&R. Okay I need to get moving so Ii will close fro now wishig everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Sure has been quiet on here lately. I hope everyone is doing OK. Richard, I hope you are feeling better. My work has been very busy and both my wife and I have been sick. I have had a cold that has been driving me crazy for almost a month now. Donna is really sick and stayed home in bed today. She has a lot of crud in her lungs and was up all night coughing stuff up. I worry about her because she has asthma and she has really gotten down a few times when her lungs fill up. She is stubborn and won't go the the Dr. until it gets really bad. I am hoping a few days of bed rest will get her feeling better. We are having Donna's family over on Saturday to celebrate Christmas. My nieces and nephews go to North Port, Fl. to visit their dad on Christmas Day. Our Christmas Day will just be myself, Donna, my mom and the doggies. I am an only child so my mom is really the only blood relative I have left. Donna has a large family on her side and I really enjoy spending time with them. I just hope Donna is feeling better by Saturday as we will have a house full. I hope everyone has a great day. Stay warm! It's only supposed to hit a high of 60 today in West Central Florida. Burch |

Burch hope you both feel better. I will take 60 degrees. Yesterday it did not get out of the 20's. There is a warm up coming we could hit 50 Sunday and Monday. We have snow on the ground right now but it will be gone by this weekend. So I guess there will be no white Christmas.
