Topic: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Posted By: Dixie Flyer on 08/26/19 06:24am

Good morning everyone. Well today is my last day of freedom for a while. I will finish mowing the lawn. Sue is going to take me out for lunch and I need to run some paper work to the church. The weather is nice and cool for this time of year, but no rain for the last few days.

Dixie has been running around the house with miss piggy in her mouth wanting someone to play with her. Lizzie the cat is sitting in the window watching the Humming birds at the feeder while Suzie is lounging on her bed by the couch.

I think we will take the 72 Lincoln out today when we go to lunch. Since the last repairs the old car really drives great.

Dale I was reading about you moving all of the things out of the old home place and I was reminded of all the things we found when we moved from Waynesboro. One of the things was a ration book from WWII that mother had put away. The photo album was a real treasure dating back to the twenties thirties.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. Don't forget to include me in your prayers tomorrow.

Thanks. Not looking forward to this at all. Be glad when it's over and I am on the healing side of this adventure.

Hello everybody! Wishing Richard the best tomorrow! And those of you moving/cleaning/decluttering - it's always a heartbreaking/interesting/exhausting adventure. Hugs to all of you.

Hi Dale, This is Garland. I know how you feel cleaning out a parent's house. It is physically tiring, but most of all-very hard emotionally.
I am an only child and Walter was my rock along with a co-worker from my office to help me with my parents house in the 90's.
Glad to hear you are on the last leg of cleaning. Please take care and let us know of your progress whatever you decide to do.

Thanks, Garland. That's it! It's been a difficult process for Terry. . . made worse by his health the past two years. But he is finally getting better and has done a lot this summer. Just hoping once it's done and stuff is in storage we can rest and relax.

Dale

Good morning everyone. You won't be hearing from me for a few days so keep the Old Fella thread going. Here's wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
