Topic: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Happy 4th of July!

We are camping at Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral. We got here around 4:30pm on Tuesday afternoon after leaving work early. We really like it here but it is hot! The RV is a nice 75 degrees inside so at least we can get out of the heat. I brought a couple of fans to keep the air morning while outside. It the afternoons, we get a nice sea breeze so its not so bad but the mornings the air is still.

My niece and her boyfriend are driving over this morning. They both like to fish and there is a long fishing pier that goes from the shipping channel out to the Atlantic Ocean. I hope they catch some fish.

I will be smoking some baby back ribs for dinner tonight. Not sure what we are doing yet for lunch but we don't plan on leaving the park today, The Pavillon area gets really packed with families enjoying the holiday and there is usually a long line of cars trying to get into the park.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Yesterday went for the colonoscopy and ended up staying in the hospital until 9pm last night. Had to go back to the hospital this morning and came home with a catheter. May have to have surgery on the prostate.

Sorry to hear this, Richard, but hopeful this could end up correcting some of the issues you have been having.

Terry has had a rough month. They changed him to that new drug, Entresto for his heart failure last month. It actually helped him in some ways till his kidneys nearly quit, which is one of those "not mentioned" side effects. After 7 weeks and gaining 22 pounds, they took him off of it. It requires 3 days off before starting back on his old medicine and those 3 days are really rough. But last night he started back on the old one and he went from looking like he was half dead to fixing me breakfast this morning. Oh happy day! The kidneys are starting back doing their job and things are looking better. Course we will still have issues we had before when they decided to put him on Entresto, but I really thought that after 21 years of this medicine doing a good job, why not just increase it a bit. Does that make sense? So, Entresto is NOT for everyone, regardless of what the adverts say. He was happy to try it, but glad to be off it now.

We will keep you in our prayers, Richard. Terry had to deal with prostate cancer 8 years ago. Because we fulltime, he was able to go to Houston to MD Anderson. He couldn't have surgery, but had a type of radiation which has done well for him.

Good morning everyone. Had the best night's sleep I have had in a long time. I got up to empty the bag for the catheter and went back to bed, didn't get up until 8am. My blood pressure this morning was 111/120/80/ I haven't seen those numbers in a long time.

When I went to the hospital and they drained my bladder I had 24 ounces in it. They said it was 700 ml. which was a lot. I don't know what the future holds, so our trip is on hold for now.

The fur babies are well. Dixie came and got in the bed with me this morning, snuggled in and slept for a while, she is so sweet.

the fire works last night were far away so it didn't bother us at all. God had His own display last night with lightening in the sky.

I don't know what I am going to do today except just hang around the house. By the way the upper GI and the colonoscopy came out good, nothing going on except I am getting older.

Lilly is coming to spend the week with us while her folks go on vacation. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. Our trip to Michigan has been put on hold as I am not able to see the doctor to have the catheter taken out. Then there is the follow up a week later. I am doing better and am looking for a good day.

I hope all is well with everyone and you are enjoying your summer. I am going to close for now wishing you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
