Topic: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Posted By: Scottiemom on 03/28/19 05:24am

We are still here in Melbourne visiting with son Brandon and his family. I can't believe how my granddaughter has grown. She will be 6 in July and is a beautiful little girl. We love her so much. Our son is having a lot of remodeling done to his house and they are done with the dry wall work and yesterday started the painting. I can't believe how much one guy got done yesterday. It is beautiful. Once the painting is done, all that's left is the new baseboards. I have been trying to clean stuff up after the guys get done for the day. Trying to make myself useful. Stuff that was on the walls was dusty from being there for a few years. That, and I'm trying my hardest to spoil Lily the kids' new rescue golden doodle. She is so sweet, but so needy. She is 3 and has had 3 litters of pups as a puppy mill breeder. She never knew what it was like to just be a dog.

Yesterday we drove over to Davenport, Florida, to look at an RV lot we thought we might buy. We would love to find some place that we could call ours to park the rig anytime we want to come. But the place didn't look nearly as good in pictures as it did in person. We don't want a house yet. Eventually we will, but for now, just a place to park the motorhome with maybe a building for some storage. So I guess we will keep looking.

We are in Brevard county, but we missed the hail yesterday. Just missed it apparently. We didn't get anything where we were at, but just down the road from the motorhome, they had hail big enough to do damage. Thankfully, Phaeton Place was fine when we got back home. Had some high winds, but no problems there.

Relaxing today and going out to dinner tonight with the kids.

Take care all!

Good morning everyone. Dale glad you are doing well. The picture of you and the fur baby looks good. It's 35 degrees here in the Deep South. Folks here are complaining about the cold weather still with us, It seems winter just won't go away.

I hope all is well with everyone. Dan and Patty I saw on FB where you sold your house and will be moving into your new home at the end of April. I hope you enjoy your new home.

I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Yes we did.

A Realtor offered us an instant stress free buy so we took it. We picked our closing date so we have plenty of time to move after we close our new home.

Good morning everyone. It's was 40 degrees here in the Deep South this morning as the sun came up. Today we will have spring like weather as well as tomorrow. There will be a lot of activity at the church tomorrow with a car show, health blood drive and some other things. I am supposed to be a judge in the car show. The show was rescheduled from an earlier date when it got rained out. We have about forty cars registered so I am excited to see what will be there.

The fur gang is well this morning as is Sue. I am having a slow start as usual, just have a hard time getting everything moving. This morning I was in a lot of discomfort lying in bed so I got up early. I guess those days of just sleeping late are over. Between my bladder and stomach I am always having an issue with being comfortable just lying in bed. Anyway it's another day the Lord has given so rejoice and be glad in it.

Dan I am happy for you that the house has been sold and now you can look forward to your new home without that cloud hanging over your head. Sue and I had to travel back and forth to Waynesboro after the move to Piedmont until the house sold. I miss our home place and think of all the memories we have of Waynesboro and the house on Jones Avenue. Many rescues passed through that home in the years we were there.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Richard when you go to the car show leave your wallet at home.

Good morning everyone. It's 53 degrees here in the Deep South and very cloudy. I hope everyone is doing great. The fur gang has eaten breakfast and now waiting for the morning activities to begin. Sue just came trough with a load of dirty clothes for the washing machine.

I really need some help this morning. My stomach is acting up and I don't know if I am going to make it to the car show. I guess I will know in a little while.

I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. Well Dan it looks as if winter has gotten stuck in Ohio and just can't get out of there. Remember the old record players when a record would get a scratch on it and it would play the same notes over and over and over again. You would have to pick up the arm with the needle and place it over the scratched part. Well maybe you need to go outside and kick old man winter over the place it's stuck in.

Today hasn't started out the best but I hope it will get better. I may have done a foolish thing yesterday, I sold our Zero Turn Cub Cadet that was eight years old and in perfect condition. I am looking at a Toro Time Cutter HD with the floating deck that is supposed to give a much better ride. For those of us with bad backs it is supposed to help smooth out bumps in the yard. When I think about what I have done there is no way to justify the cost of a new mower at my age, how many more years will I be cutting the lawn? A stupid move on my part.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

As we wend our way home from Florida, we are NOT liking the dropping temperatures! 36* Here in Chattanooga this morning.[emoticon]

Inga, however, does not seem to mind at all.

Travel safe.
