Rvision's Floor Plans became Monaco/Hr products. Same Rvision rear caps on several years.

I think they are bigger RVs now, though.

Currently RV-less but not done yet.

with the same dumb tail lights and 'non-bumper"? I was so close to ripping that thing off and fabricating a real bumper and then putting the tail lights up on those side panels.

Hey Gene, is Rvision making the B+ anymore or is it Monaco/HR?
Yes, almost immediately after Monaco bought RVision, the Holiday Rambler name went on the Trail-Lite models. Not sure where they were actualy built. I know the model 211 and the 235 floor plans were built at one or the other plant.

We were lucky to see the RVision facility before the sale. We were impressed with the dedication of the workers. On the same trip to Warsaw, Indiana we visited a couple other fabricators and we concluded the RVision was equal to or better than the others. The selling price closed the deal.

Greetings,

I am very pleased to find this forum! We just purchased a 2007 Holiday Rambler Augusta 213. We've yet to take delivery on it (still snow here in MN) and I was worried we had an orphan since I couldn't find anything on it. We bought it anyway as it was just the right size for two people and a standard poodle, and this unit is very clean.

We were sure we wanted a B+, but salesmen kept telling us we'd regret having a smaller unit with no bed. From the posts here, we feel pretty good about our decision.

We aren't retired yet, so we plan to use this for lots of short trips and weekends, and taking our recumbent bicycles around the country. I'll be back when we get some miles on the rig.

Peace, Dennis

I think you have the same orphan as our '05 TL from then RVision

No biggie on the "orphan" thing ... most RV models are short-lived productions.

But they all share the same appliances and chassis (chevy/ford) details.

The only way to simulate a 28+ ft class C MH with a permanent large (queen/king) bed in a short 22' B+ rig is to have a makedown bed like yours...it is perfect for weekenders and tourers who want no toad

Welcome to the group, 2wheelluge.

Of our 8 RVs since 1977 only our Phaeton is techically not an orphan, the rest have faded away or are old model names used by different corporate ownership.

We purchased our 2004 R-Vision 213 for our upcoming Alaska trip this summer, last April. The bed situation so far has been the biggest change for us, since we live in our 40' Phaeton. We added a queen size air mattress for more comfort during our shake down trips last summer. Today we purchased a Buddy Heater for the trip, since we felt the overnight use of the furnace might be a bit too much for our two AGM 6 Volt house batteries if boondocking.

2wheelluge - Welcome to this thread. I have added you to my list of RVision/Trail-Lite/HolidayRambler/Augusta list of owners. I started this MS Excel spreadsheet several years ago because I could not remember who owned what model and chassis type. Your model 213 will be almost identical to "burlmart's".

Hopefully, your experience will be similar to the majority of the owners - most have been satisfied.

Teacher's Pet - We are jealous of your upcoming trip. Since our RV is used as a mobile bedroom w/potty and fridge we left our dinette in the fold-down position and leave the cushions at home. We purchased a twin size foam mattress and it is made up 95% of the time. My wife finds it comfortable.

We also purchased a 2" stiff foam mattress topper to fit the jack-knife couch. We sewed a pillowcase for it using a couple old bed sheets. It rolls up easily and gets tossed under the lowered dinette table. It only takes a minute or two to drop the jack knife couch, add the foam topper and make a bed for me to sleep on. We are snug as bugs.

Did you have much difficulty converting the single 12-volt lead acid battery to the 2 AGM 6 volt batteries? Sounds like a unique conversion and should prove to be an improvement.

Gene...I cheated on the two AGMs. We went to a friend of ours, one of Scottiemom's H.S. classmates and the president of a top notch RV service company in Elkhart Indiana, Charger Enterprises. Charger is by far best in the area to our experience, great people who don't blow there own horn as others do.

I asked Gerald if he could install a new hatch to be able to service the battery, during our big trip. He suggested we go AGM and forget about it, except for cable inspections. Well then I said "Can you add a second battery?" At first he suggested putting the second battery in a case under the couch, I told him I'd rather have the storage space instead, but would leave it to him, once he got into it. He was to do the job over the winter during his slow time. Well last month he got it out of storage and did the modification I requested. He ended up having his guys fabricate a new battery tray so both batteries would be under the floor, all wired and installed in under two days. The good news was we got a 10% discount on the bill for having it done during the slow season. Considering the cost of 6V AGMs, metal fabrication and cabling, a bit north of $700 wasn't bad. We'll see the job they did next week when we get the 213 out of storage, I'm sure we'll be pleased due to his normal high standard of quality work.

Right now we're in our Phaeton with 3-4 inches of snow at a state park 15 miles south of Richmond VA. A little over 3 weeks ago we were enjoying sun and 95° in the Rio Grande Valley, but wanted to see our kids and their families before the big trip. So here we are "enjoying" the prediction of a lying, fat, useless rodent by the name of Phil, of an "Early Spring".

The "Buddy Heater" is getting a work out, sitting beside our Olympian Catalytic heater keeping us very comfortable, now to work out a LP hookup in the 213. No sense in hauling 1# bottles, when space is at a premium.

Hi Teacher's Pet,
We have a B+ but it is not a R-Vision type, its an Aspect 26A. We had our Olympian Catalytic mounted in our previous 23ft motorhome and connected to the propane line that feed the fridge. We also have a buddy heater like yours.

I would be interested in how you connect your heaters to propane and if you use them free standing or mounted. We have less space to mount a heater in our 26ft than we did in the 23ft. Really enjoyed the radiant heat....sort of like a little fireplace.
