TrueLarry and Artum Snowbird - Well at least we are not alone. I was 6'-4", but aging has decreased my height to a little over 6'-3". I definitely know what you mean about being able to stand up in the rig or lay down in bed. You get accustomed to not fitting. Oh to those shorter people, how lucky you are. It gets frustrating when you cannot just pick out any car to drive - cannot even get into some of them. I feel sorry for the people way taller then us. Thank goodness for the B+ type with a little more headroom.

I also can't type. I meant to say 6' 0" (72") duh! Both beds are exactly 6' long so it's not as bad as it sounded. I can hang my toes off the end but I did that for years growing up until Queen Sized beds came along. As near as I can tell, the bed is exactly double bed sized because we got double bed sheets and they fit perfectly.

Had a major problem with HappyJack 2 last weekend. The drivers side front axle hub needed to be replaced while we were in West Virginia. Luckily we were only a quarter mile from my mother's home when it started grinding and were able to leave the RV there until a local truck shop could do the repair. Labor and parts were just over 400.

Hi All, I just read a short piece in Motorhome about a new addition for the Winegard Sensar antenna called the Wingman. Sounds like it's a worthwhile $30 investment to improved non cable reception. Since my tv is only a year old, I'm not worried about the digital change. My question is: Does anyone know what antenna we have? I know its the 'regular' Winegard that shows up on most class C's, but I and not sure if that is the model. Thanks Gang! Chas Morristown, NJ Trail Lite ">

Hey Cheese, Dunno, but that antenna can use all the help you can give it. I am afraid that the new digital signals have shorter travel distances than the old analog, and the analog faded pretty fast. |

Based on my experience at home and on the road, I am convinced RVers are pretty much washed up with the new free airwave digital technology, no matter what antenna they get. Any near by obstruction between you and the point of origin, and you are done. Any mountain, forest of trees, building, bigger RV, and you have no signal. If you don't know where to point, you're done. Especially if you have to scan for stations, where do you point the antenna to start scanning? We were in Las Vegas. In town at the KOA, I got one good station, and one pixelating station. The problem is that you have to rotate the antenna precisely to the signal's point of origin, then scan for stations. It is extremely touchy. A few degrees off and you missed it. It is the same at home for my roof top, I bought the best available digital antenna, This One here. It has a 70 mile range, but we are only 35 miles from the Sears Tower. What a joke it is for us. This fancy digital antenna looses the signal with the slightest movement or change in cloud patterns. Any breeze and the picture pixelates and looses sound. We live in a valley without line-of-sight, so we are done with free airwaves TV. Not so with the old analog technology. When it was weak, you had a little snow, yet still decent sound. With digital, a weak station gitters the picture, and the sound immediately cuts off. There is no forgiving with digital technology. It is great for people who have line-of-sight toward a large city. For everyone else, it's bad news. * This post was edited 05/19/09 10:43am by ron.dittmer * 2007 Phoenix Cruiser model 2350, with 2006 Jeep Liberty in-tow |

And if digital don't work near Chicago, forget it for most all typical RV places. A while back, we barely picked up analog 25 minutes out of Houston due to trees. |

I understand Ron, I noticed that when I first started using the new tv on the antennae. I was better off with a non digital or in some cases, non hd channel. the pixellating can be a real problem.
