Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

And some good news!!! Yesterday i have moved tha cables on the ignition module connector. After this the engine started immediately! So i need a new connector and the ICM as a spare part. In Europe better safe than sorry

By "moved" do you mean changed their path, or wiggled them to get a better connection?

Dana 70 i think, but 60 is same gasket. 70 cover plate is 1/4 inch taller at top than 60. I would recommend full synthetic gear lube, it can handle high temps way better and does not break down as a result than conventional.
Seems Dana Spicer likes 75w90 in the 60/70. Better for gas maileage too...LOL

Here's a picture of a Dana 70 rear axle differential. (Identified/verified by an "M70" stamped on one axle tube.)

Here's a rear axle identification chart I found on the web a decade ago. (I didn't note the source so I can't credit the origin.)

The dimensions in the chart are for the ring gear diameter, so are meaningless without opening the differential.

i have wriggled them to get a better connection. My connector seems to be "improved" with a screw by the previous owner. Improvising is the biggest problem of american cars in Europe.
I have found the connector for 54 €.

Thanks for the information about my rear axle. Dana 70 is IMHO a great differential. In the Dana 70 in my Ford E350 we have changed the bearings and the mechanic is very simple and solid.
I have used 75W-140 in my differential. Best hightemperatures properties

Undoing what previous owners have done (which I call 'unf'ing') is a large part of what I do when rehabilitating/restoring older trucks. (Some people's 'repairs' are a wonder to behold ...)

Short of running it dry, it's almost impossible to destroy a Dana 70 ... after a million or so miles, the gears and bearing might wear out ...

Unless you're putting in a lot of miles in a hot desert, I'd run 75W90 gear lube. I use 75W90 in all my gearboxes/differentials because I run year around in severely subfreezing temperatures.

Regular or synthetic is up to you. (I haven't made up my mind as to which I prefer.)

I thought I saw a second screw in your picture. The previous owner must of had trouble starting it too.

Now if we could just find out if we need the ICM with the electronic throttle control or not--or if it matters. Maybe either one will work?

the cheapest ICMs cost 9 $. This would be interesting to buy both (with & without) and test it :-)

None of the above. ATF+4, for Chrysler vehicles with automatic transmissions.
