Have you ever seen two motorhomes drag racing?

Actually, yes. There was a youtube video of one such race, on a figure eight course, that I believe was held in Australia.

Also, there's a story about a couple of NASCAR drivers profiling their big, luxury Class A motorhomes around the track when the competitive spirit got the better of them. Supposedly, speeds topped 100 mph before officials got them to knock it off.

Finally, ask "Lead-Foot" Leeann about a certain tire-smoking episode ...

Hey, you drive a Jaguar 50 mph in a 65 mph zone, I'm gonna get ticked off. And with a 20' class A, fully empty - no water, no propane, only one gas tank with gas in it and no supplies - I'm gonna pass your butt. Going uphill without real mufflers and a 440 that has some oomph.

That's most of the story [emoticon]

A couple years ago on a nice flat stretch of highway I got my Dodge up to 90 which was pretty impressive considering it weighs over 13k with the trailer and it's just a little 360. I'm not sure what was louder all the stuff rattling or the wife hollering to slow down.

Has anyone started to make 'aftermarket' heads for the 440?
Back in the 90s, a friend of mine had cracked heads on his. When he enquired as to new heads the parts people said the last 10k pairs had been sold to a high performance company to be sold to the racers.

The attraction was that they had water jackets in the heads, supposedly. The price for new or used heads was more than the MH was worth at the time.

We pulled the engine and tranny, and installed a 390ci ford motor and tranny.
