Well all, I'm into another rebuild. I've found rot in the cabover bunk all over the front & sides, over the door, along the corner right behind the cab, & that's just on the passenger side. The roof framing is the worst I've ever seen (and rotted in spots) in an RV so I'll re-frame that too. I've taken pictures as I'm taking it apart & I'll keep taking them, then post them in a separate topic as I go. I haven't started the post yet, but will as soon as I have a little left over energy. I hope everyone is doing well and I hoping for good news about Trish as I haven't heard anything for some time. Take care and happy camping!

I guess it's time I post on this little thread... ![]() I have a 1975 American Clipper on a Dodge B300 chassis with a 360 engine. He is the best! I bought him just over a year ago. I've been working on getting the mechanical stuff back to top shape. Meanwhile, I've been taking him out on short trips. I've looked at newer RVs, but they just don't do it for me. I love the big windows and the real 70's feel. And the ceiling storage area is such a great thing - so easy to grab and extra blanket in the middle of the night, etc. My family owned a Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth dealership for years. That's all we ever drove. After moving away from Dodge once, I learned my lesson, and have only bought Dodge since. So, finding a Dodge RV was a MAJOR coup for me. And the 70's style brings to mind the times we camped in our SixPac TC when I was a kid. 1975 American Clipper RV with Dodge 360 (photo in profile) 1998 American Clipper Fold n Roll Folding Trailer Both born in Morgan Hill, CA to Irv Perch (Daddy of the Aristocrat trailers) |
