I've acquired a '77 Dodge CB300 based Jamboree. We're currently on the road going back east after and extended 'three hour tour' starting last August... less than 50k on the clock, and when my nephew, Jason, had it, put on the air ride air bags. every little bit helps...

we started out with my ford ranger with a seven foot jayco popup truck camper pulling a 8x10 trailer with my spyder on it and THEN we got to SoCal... we decided we needed something with a bathroom... so here we are in Giddings, TX getting ready to pull out to Orangefield, Tx and then to Benton, Ar... then home to SC... yeah, started as a 3 month trip...

![]() Thanks guys, great advice, I've got a chiltons on it, and I'll try the suggestions, I'd rather eliminate the relatively easy tune up stuff first rather than diving into the more expensive stuff blindly. its black in the tailpipe so its running rich, the question is, is it running rich for some other reason, like maybe they had it running rich so it wouldnt die when idling etc.. shes old, i'll have to take my time figuring it out, thanks for the place to start vax Without Trucks,....America Stop's |

Oldtrucker is right about our 'new' gasoline. 15 years ago, you buy 112 from Sunoco ... sheesh. Always run 89 octane in it. Add good octane booster to every full tank. When you pull your plugs, thoroughly SEE them. Are they worn evenly? What color -black, honey, brown? Reading an old spark plug tells you volumes about your engine. Listen to what they are saying. Griff's right -Seafoam in the gas tank. My father was right -Marvel Mystery Oil in the crankcase. Get yourself to the public library in "References" and ask for a factory service manual on your 360. Can't take books out of the Reference section, so make copies and take notes. Hi everyone. I just got a nice Birthday Surprise. I have been watching Craige'sList in our area for a while now hoping to find a buy I couldn't refuse. Well, I came across an ad for an RV for parts. When I opened up the ad I quickly realized that the poster was offering a FREE RV ![]() ![]() ![]() * This post was edited 06/01/12 11:53am by Jer&Ger * Jerry & Gerry, our pets (dogs), Byron, Coco 1976 Monaco, 440 ci. In response to a previous post... I always used Marvel Mystery Oil in my Gasoline Engines, IN THE GASOLINE. It is was advertised as a 'top end oil'. I found that it helped alleviate the pre ignition knock I suffered 'at altitude'. Not totally sure about the Crankcase application? I also don't like solvents in my gasoline except a couple of tanks prior to engine oil change. Too much chance of ring bypass and oil breakdown. Perhaps I'm a bit spooky about possible complications, but I just don't like to do 'full overhauls'. My rod and main bearings NEED to last as long as possible. JM$.02... Don't mean to be critical of others. Hoppe 2011 Dodge 1500 C'boy Caddy 2000 Jayco C 28' Ford chassis w V-10 E450 Doghouse 36' or so Trophy Classic TT |

You did good. Look at all the replacement parts you have now --water, furnace, A/C, "coach stuff" like cargo doors, windows & window cranks, door locks, steps... Cushions, too, unless they got wet. And a good generator. :0) Happy Birthday! Trish Jer&Ger wrote:
