I'd think about donating if they promise to stay in SoCal. (Or, at least, stay out of Alaska ... )

Jesus may love us, but it's a good bet he doesn't love that.

Just a little follow up. My wife and I drove up to Ohio this past weekend to pick up our new (1977) Dodge home. There are a lot of issues that will need to be worked out like very little front brakes, and engine gauges that don't work. Drove and ran great. Wife has already ordered fabric for cushions, and curtains. Also have some siding that will have to be replaced, then move her inside my shop to sandblast, and repaint. Y'all will probably be hearing a lot from me for sometime with every sort of question you can think of.

I agree, Trish. There are several more of these (barely)rolling
"works of art" out in this world. If they could be herded together,
bubble wrap, graffiti and all in one location, just think- an RV version of the infamous "Ant Farm" Cadillacs could come to be. Given the size of the behemoths, maybe a "Stonehenge" of these old rigs could be set up in a circle... at an event like "Burning Man"...

It'd almost be art nouveau.... or art nausea.

Definitely worth some video.

Leeann-

This is a perfect visual example of why they SHOULD
have stuck with the "Monty Python" theme... the Foot
would have been better on the side of the rig than the
words... and it would sell for more.

But that's just me...

TedandDonna,
You are embarking on a journey that many of us here have taken (or are still on). There should be an answer here for almost any question you have. Just remember as you proceed on your quest to restore your "new" motorhome, we all want the details and pictures,,, we always want pictures... good luck and welcome to the insanity.

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Thanks. This is something that we are looking forward to very much. I guess the first problem is getting the brakes in working order, and then the engine gauges. We want to use it this fall, and will do more extensive work this winter.
