Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Leeann

ohhh... good tip. Thanks for the warning. Is that something I can get through NAPA? Summit?

As a teaser, I had some spare time yesterday, so I scrounged up a bunch of coins, and had enough to pick up a box of Allure flooring from Home Depot. I simply got sick and tired of looking at the particle board section in the back from the previous work I had done with the bath/bunk area. I was hoping to redo one of the front walls, then put the new floor in, but that's delayed now. i think I did it in a way that I can simply continue on with what is now in place. I ran it under the carpet, and covered the sticky parts so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It looks AWESOME! I'll have pics early next week.

Also. I found a fridge/freezer last weekend for $75. The PO said he swapped it because it wasn't getting cold anymore. After he gave me the description of how it stopped working I had him plug it in for the night and call me in the morning. Making a long story short, The hood on his RV became clogged, and the unit wasn't getting adequate circulation. He had already replaced it with one of those little Dorm style electrics, so I he still sold it to me for $75. I modified my fridge opening, and installed it. I've had to turn it down twice because it keeps freezing my food. [emoticon] It's nice to not be living out of coolers anymore, and it's great to have the extra fridge space!

Yep. Shouldn't be a problem.

Does anyone ever have issues with some of the clearance lights going out on occasion? I usually only have to open the shell cover and jiggle the bulb then it turns back on.

Is there any trick to keep the bulb stable in these old Dodges?

There could be many reasons for the light trouble, but usually it's moisture causing a poor contact, and a poor ground.

If you take the trouble to clean each one, apply some dielectric grease to bolb base and that will solve many of your problems.

She ain't purdy, but at least she's slow!

Yep, usually moisture issues. Clean/wire brush each bulb base (ours were rusty from excessive moisture) then apply the dielectric grease - that's worked for us for almost 3 years now.

Here's the pics of the new section of flooring. i extended it under the carpet and covered it so I should be able to continue where I left off when I get the chance to pull the rest of the carpet.

The pics aren't the best as they were just with my cell phone camera. but they should be good enough to get the idea.

This is the peel and stick Allure flooring from Home Depot. Waterproof, trim to fit with scissors or x-acto... I like it.

Also... while I was transferring photos from the cell phone, Here's that Travco I mentioned earlier.

Lastly... we got the motor pulled... boy do they wedge THOSE things in there. We decided to send it off to be completely rebuilt. After pricing out the parts (reconditioned crank killed us) the difference seemed worth a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, having someone else spend the time on it, and having it COMPLETELY gone through... new pistons, rings, valves, etc. Now I just need to come up with the money. Sweet and sweet!

Ouch about the engine...but you're probably right: after spending all that money, it's good to have a warranty [emoticon]

Eye--
I'm sorry, that's so much money. Figures your fridge was the cheap fix.

My god, that Travco is gorgeous.
