Well the new owner has kept in touch with me. The old RV was at MIS last weekend for the Sprint Cup. We just got back with the NTU RV from a 1500 mile tirp. The new owner of our old dodge sounds like he is really having a blast with it. I still feel a little sad letting it go. I will post up picks of the new everybody has one old ford if anyone wants to see it.

Has anyone out there ever tried to find a cover for the doghouse. I see some of these units with the nice vinyl padded doghouse surrounds. I have looked at all the RV supply sites I have saved and none seem to have anything like that. Not a big deal but I do think they dress up the cab a bit. Thanks, ya'll have a great weekend, looks like rain again here. I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere! |

An upholstery shop could make a vinyl doghouse cover very easily.

Man things can go downhill quickly. Many of you may know, I've been part of Michigan's leading number of unemployed since October. We're dealing with that. Needless to say, we're watching money. A couple weeks ago, the fridge went. Think I mentioned that. We were sitting in our camp spot, moved into the pit area for the day, and the fridge never came back on. Elec, LP, nothing works. the slug lodged itself pretty well right at the top of the cooling unit. So we've been keeping an eye out for fridges on a budget but haven't found one yet. Now this weekend, the motor broke... something. I limped into the campground on a few cylinders. (ouch) Fortunately... one of my mechanics happens to live at the campground. So, he's going to start working on it after hours in his spare time... At least it's at the location we use it 80% of the time. what a sucky summer.... ![]() |

Anyone have any idea where I could pick up an owner's manual for a 1976 Fireball RV - even if it's just a copy. My son-in-law just purchased one to restore for his family (3 little grandsons and a wife). He's not concerned wit the truck itself but with the coach (how things work, etc.). Really would appreciate it.

eye....I'm really sorry to hear that. What kind of fridge is it? Dometic, Norcold, ?? And what model # (it'll be on the back of the unit, visible from the access panel if it's not on the front). The bf's an HVACR master and might be able to help you test stuff. It might just be a fuse or a bad wire.... Oh, wait: you moved while it was running? Was the pit area level? If not, the fridge just needs to be burped - ie, turned on its head for a few hours, then turned over and tested again. The bf says this happens a lot with gas absorption fridges (they 'fixed' them all the time at the boatyards this way). I hope your mechanic finds that it's something simple and easily fixed.... |

Leeann Thanks, but it was already burped. we tapped on everything... several times while it was upside down for a couple hours. Nothing. It's AC and LP only, no 12v and completely manual so there's no board, and any fuse wouldn't effect the LP. Currently it's an Elix'r. I'm hoping to out for a newer style Norcold. We need a larger one anyway. |

eye- The bf says, do the heaters work? Does the propane light and stay lit, but nothing happens? Did you happen to smell ammonia at any point when you were in the pit area? Oh, and have you checked the upper vent - is it clogged? Is the condenser clean? |
