We're slacking folks... page 5? I'll just assume everyone else is out camping, and I'm the only one still working on the old girl.

Man we can make a mess.

Actually, no, eyeteeth, I am now gainfully employed and it sucks, totally cuts into my Travco-Time. But your rig is looking REAL good, your work shows care and craftsmanship.

The mess? Indeed.
Worst is when the skied threaten and I gotta get all that stuff back into the Travco before it pours....

Post weekend update.

Sorry. No pics this week. My helper was absent most of the day so it was slower than usual. But I was able to get the fresh water, and city water inlets cut in, and reinstalled. I installed the replacement water heater. I still have the old one. Works fine, just the bottome was rusted out. Not sure what to do with it. Any ideas? I re-installed the fresh water tank with the new inspection clover I installed. Then we got the tail lights rewired and reinstalled. (I sanded, and repainted the plastic housing... while it was apart.) And, we got all the windows cleaned, re-butyle taped, and installed. While they were off, I straightened, and painted the interior window frames black. Looks pretty sharp. Last thing we did once my faithful helper arrived, was we cut and install the last ceiling panel we needed to put up. So... No more tarp! Everything exterior is re-installed and sealed up!

Now, the next items to work on will be to install the black and grey tanks with vents. Then we can put the bathroom walls back and then the bunks. The old girl is getting sooo close to being habitable I can barely stand it.

The worst part is... I won't be able to work on it for a couple weeks again because of schedule. [emoticon]

Great!!!

The bf did some electrical work on ours over the weekend, but that's all we've accomplished on her. Next weekend, we'll start on the 727...

Took my rig over to moms for a family reunion(about 50 miles). I am no where close to done but did have the ply I stripped from the walls and ceiling replaced and I promised the grandkids they could sleep in it during the reunion. Only system I used was shore power to run the lights and fridge which kept the soda and juice pouches cold and the kids thought it was great. Now all I have to do is replace the counter tops, put water proof panels in the shower, paint the intrerior, new flooring, carpet, mouldings, seal the dog house better, etc, etc....... yeah almost done!...... lol,, enjoy reading about all you other folks adventures,, keep up the good work.

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Is the "1977 Champion Titan" a member of this group? It's got a dodge engine and someone referred me to this thread.

I'm looking around for my 1st RV, and since I'm a classic I would like to get a classic RV.

That Champion looks like it's totally refurbished, interior and running gear.

I'll subscribe to this thread to see what develops.

Well, I went on a drive yesterday afternoon and everything seemed fine. That is til it started getting dark. I found I had no running lights on the RV or trailer, dash lights nor brake lights. The headlamps worked fine, as did the turn signals and dome light. What a weird mix of lights to try to figure out the problem from. We made it home on back rds and parked it. Today I started by pulling out the light switch and jumped across the different contacts. Right off the bat, I could get the running lights up with no trouble at all, so I assuming the switch is bad. The dealer wants over $100 for a new one. Any input from luck with junk yards would be of big help here....TIA...Jerry

Try NAPA for your switch.
