Y'know, when an admin/mod edits a post, it would be nice to get a PM explaining why/what they've done. I have no idea what was edited out of my post, except that I see my signature is gone. And this isn't the first time. '73 Concord 20' Class A w/Dodge 440 - see profile for photo |

Leeann, are you sure you did not used the "S" word instead of "junk"? Also, I notice that my signature only shows up on my 1st post in a string.. Just a thought. Now 2004 Winnie Minnie 31C Had 2007 Zeppelin 190 Hybrid, 1999 30' Dutchman Classic FW |

Y'know, I think I typed "POs" - which is Previous OwnerS, not piece of _____. That's why I have no idea why I've been moderated...... |

LeeAnn said: the fun of fixing the piece of junk 'fixes.' I think that's most of what we do on our rigs, personally. I resemble that remark LeeAnn... I have spent many hours just pulling off a light or window or drip rail so that I can peel off all the silicone and reseal it right. My PO must have had a case of the stuff and never found a place it couldn't be applied... I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere! |

Finally got around to replacing my broken roof vent. I started early as it was supposed to be mid 90's, but it went smoother than I thought it might and I was done by 10 AM before it baked me... I found that my roof at the vent opening was about 3 1/2" thick and the new roof vent appears to be made for about 2 1/2- 2 3/4 inch thick roof as the top and bottom pieces don't quite cover the distance, let alone overlap as designed... I think I can use some of the old inside liner to cover the gap so it doesn't look too weird...

Hello All, I am new to the RV Scene. Bought a 1979 Dodge Tioga Class C. I have had one thing after another trying to get the thing smogged. Finally passed after I caved and took it to the mechanic. Turned out just needed a carb tune up. I took it on a short trip after which it melted a spark plug wire. Replaced and was on my way running not so great. Replaced plug in question tonight and notied the number 8 wire also was melting around the boot. Now I am really concerned. Number 6 and 8 are running extremely hot and melting wires. I doubt I will make it to my next destination of any distance without melting more wires. Could it be my exhaust manifolds are bad, clogged or something? Anybody else have this problem? PLease help!

Hi Matt, Welcome to our little corner of rv.net. It would help if you'd let us know which engine you have. That would make it much easier to help.
