Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Actually, that sounds very good ... that's the kind of reading I'd expect from a new or freshly rebuilt engine.
Griff, The PO said he had the engine rebuilt 3000 mile ago, but the only things I found receipts for is the Heads, Trans and Carb. The engine is awfullly clean and have not found a leak yet either, so maybe. Starts right up and runs like a champ. Another thing off my mind. I need to find that Manual, it'll solve a lot of questions I have about this rig.... Gary Webb Phoenix, AZ

Griff, I meant to add that I use straight 30 here in Phx...temps here very so much.

Maybe I will at next change to 10-40 see if there is a change in the reading. May I add miles read 136K.

I do like the idea of the light. Thanks for the links.

I run high until warmed up well, then on the lower side.
Turns out that the sensor was just disconnected. Im sure I did it at some point.

Does anyone have 3 or 4 square warning lights on their dash, stacked vertically, to the right of the wheel?

What do they say? Mine are out/inop/maybe they were optional.

Morning again ya all,

Gary - don't use that! Chilton's is famous for getting stuff wrong.....

This is yours:

Th information I've looked up for you has come out of the '74-'75 edition of that manual. It covers all the B- and CB-Series vans and motorhome van cutaway chassis.

Cenote

Only one of those pertains to the MH... that is the top square for the EGR sensor. I had the dash apart not too long ago... can't remember what the other 3 were for mostly because I realized they were for items that aren't on the chassis anymore. I have to take the dash apart again soon to replace the speedo cable. If someone (Leeann) hasn't answered by then, I'll post what mine are.

Man.. I go away for the weekend and there's 5-6 new pages... sheesh...

I have to replace my grey water tank. I appears to have majorly split this past weekend. We're pretty much done with racing for the year, so I was about to take the next month or two and really go to town on the interior. First step (after replacing the tank) will be ripping out, and repairing the worst of the damage in the bunk and bathroom area. This should be an adventure.

Oh, that's a bummer, eyeteeth. We have a seam on our black tank that's leaking a little, but I think we have the right stuff to seal it back up, but we do have to get it done before our next (last) race of the year.

Cenote - I'll have to look in the book when I get home 'cause my A doesn't have any stacked warning lights.

EDIT: sorry, Cenote - I only have the '74 and '75 book & supplement for C's and the through 1973 book for A's, and they don't have any mention of stacked warning lights. So it's a newer thing...

Ok, Stacked warning lights...

Check EGR
Rear Window Defrost
Low Transmission Fluid
Fasten Seatbelts

My dash is only wired for one light... lol. Useful

I just emptied my tanks, so now I can drop it and see where it split. It's up top somewhere. I have the stuff to repair it, but at this point, I've been repairing it all over... and it keeps finding new places to leak... so... it's gone. Time to put a new on in.

I'm kinda looking forward to ripping things apart and remodelling.

I forgot to ask two questions...

What is the sealant used between the cab section, and the coach on the outside? Second question... anyone want to guess the name/color of the cream paint used for the cab? I wouldn't mind rattle canning the cab section to get it to match... It's a couple different shades now.

thanks.

The paint is probably known as "Fleet White". Any paint store should have it. Get the "old" fleet white, not the new one...

And remember, on a vintage rig like we all own, who cares if it really matches! [emoticon]
