Has anyone added headrest to the front seats?

Hi Tom,

I am a bit confused as every front seat since the early 70's or so has some form of head restraint. If you are referring to modifying that head restraint to be more comfortable, then I can suggest what my sister-in-law did with their Starflyte E350. She had sewn mini pillows with velcro straps that strapped around the head restraint area of the seat to create a more-forward and much softer head rest.

Check with the RV manufacturer to find the supplier of the seat, as there is no single answer for the E-450. Ford's RV package for the E-350 and E-450 does not include seats for the cab, each RV manufacturer has their own choice of seat suppliers.

Winnebago may have manufactured their own, or used a captive supplier. Most I've seen have the head restraint built into the seat structure, but there are aftermarket options for E-series with adjustable head restraints, if you are willing to change out the whole seat.

Seat back does not come high enough for me. Want it about head height not just to back of neck.

Ours adjust higher. They don't appear to but they do......at least I think I remember correctly. I will have to try lifting one tonight and report back. Are you sure yours do not lift higher? Like said by tatest, all RV seats are aftermarket supplied, with many flavors abound.

Here is what ours looks like.

RV's are exempt from many of the safety features of standard passenger vehicles. As stated RV manufacturers equip their products with various styles of seats.

That's what ours did, 02 E-350. It came to my shoulders and pushed them forward which caused a mild back after a couple of hours. I removed the covering and foam from the seat back frame and extended the frame about 3", then reinstalled the foam and covering. I was worried that the foam and covering would not fit but it did, and does not show that it has been modified.
Much better now.

Dusty
