Has any one used Carlisle tires on there TT? It seems that it is one of the only American built tires any more. I will stay with an american built tire, I know maxxis tires are good but if any one knows of a better american tire please tell, wanting to replace the China good years on my trailer.
Thanks Josh.

I didn't think Carlisles were made in America. I was sure they were Chinese. Have to go out and look at mine again, after the rain stops. I have them on mine because I was having so many blow outs and I finally got tired of changing tires on the road. so I went our local tire dealer and had him put larger tires and wheels on and I haven't had a blow out since.

I have them on my TT... Only move I did was to go from a load range D which was on my TT up to a load range E.
They have been fine for several years... Even made it to South Dakota and back...
If I keep the trailer long enough to need tires again, I will probably move to light truck tires on 16" rims.

i have them on our 4 axle boat trailer and just changed out the 10 year old ones on our 3 axle WWTH. would have put them back on the toy hauler but would have had to order in and didn't want to wait.

I have run them with no problems at all. I didn't think any Carlisle's were made in the US but even if the Trail USA is, I wouldn't run bias ply tires myself.

If you a betting person, go with Carlisle. You should be able to get better odds.
Personally, I went with the Maxxis 5 yrs ago (and still rolling along). But, then again, I'm old and do not need more excitement in my life. Not while towing, at least.

Carlisle TRAILER tires are NOT American made and don't THINK they ever were. They used to have one of the worst reputations of any of the Chinese built tires. Many have good luck and others watch them blow up and damage their trailers. The ONLY American made ST tire is the Goodyear Marathon and even THAT depends on just when you buy it as it bounces back and forth a lot. My advice is to stick with the Maxxis (best ST rated tire on the market) which is made in Thailand. I've averaged over 40,000 miles per set on my last two sets of Maxxis.

I ran Carlisles on both my old boat trailer and TT for 8 years w/o any issues. So there are those who think these are the worst ever, just didn't have a bad experience w/ them and held up to a lot of abuse. YMMV
