Not that we don't like kids or pets, we just don't have any.
We are looking for a nice R/V park, hopefully not a parking lot.
We have a 30 foot 5th wheel and would like to go to Estes Park. We have been a few times and like it. I flyfish, wife shops. The plan is to go up the Big Thompson Canyon rd.(34) or is 36/66 a better pull?
Also, there will be another couple with us in another vehicle, so we also need a place that is not cramped.

Thanks
( I'm ready to get camping)

Neither route is a difficult pull by any means (4% to 5% grades). Might consider camping inside the park. Both dogs and kids are welcome at all park campgrounds but sites are MUCH more widely spaced so they're not apt to be a bother to you.
Good luck / Skip

Unfortunately, you won't ever find a place without kids in any N.P or resort area. The N.P. campgrounds will be full of them with lots of tenters. The RV parks in Estes Park don't get good ratings (see RV park reviews) as they are dusty, cramped, and crowded with...kids. Their only good points are views and being close to RMNP. Take a look at Riverview RV Park between Estes Park and Loveland. It is on the river, well-run, clean and quiet although it is big. They do a good job keeping people happy. Some sites have shade, nice grassy fenced dog run away from sites, pavilion with pancakes, entertainment, etc.

Thanks, we don't mind kids, I did a search and someone asked about Estes Park and kids. We just don't need things for them to do.

We have been to EP 4 times and like the area but at the time didn't have a camper. All I remember about the R/V parks I saw were gravel parking lots. One on a river would be cool, I'll check it out. We will have two vechiles, so not being in town will be no problem. I like the Big Thompson drive but didn't remember how steep it was.

Thanks again
