Stopped by Camping World (Denver) to get some RV stuff and they supposedly have the only Jayco Seismic "in the country" up at their Longmont location, it's the 3210 and it's supposedly the prototype. They said it will be at the March RV show in Denver. Guess I'll have to attend the show and see for myself.

They did show me a two-sided brochure and Seismic has a floor plan with a 14' garage, not that it would work in my situation anyway.

It was at the show they had last month. It was ok...pretty much in line with all the other units.

That is probably the only one out there at this point!

There may likely one or two more prototypes, but they haven't left the factory! Jayco says they will not be a dealers till March 2012. They are taking orders for them now.

As of 1/13/2012 the official copyright was approved to Jayco Industries for the title and name "Seismic" by the U.S. federal trademark registration office. They now have the rights to use the Seismic name for "Vehicles and Products for locomotion by land, air or water".

Seismic from Jayco This is not an official Jayco video..it was done by a dealer at the RV Show, the same Seismic you saw at the Denver Camping World.

Here's what I have to say about this. I like Jayco, but feel they are behind in the TH market. What sucks....or maybe not is that all the manufactures buy thier equipment from the same vendors. All the THs(Keystone, Heartland, KZ, Jayco, etc) use the same stuff....Ramp rail systems, doors, stairs, electric beds, awnings, rims, appliances, windows...on an on. The differences are in the layouts, quality and fancy gizmos. There are a few different and nice layouts out there, but for the most part, you can only put things in certain orders. Quality is pretty close in these price point toy haulers. So that leaves fancy gadgets for us to focus on. Keystone had the ramp door patio, electric remote control, rear awning a few years ago. They were the pioneer. Now the Raptor has one with side patio, Heartland Cyclone has an outside kitchen unit. One guy left Keystone and is now building Voltages with fancier gizmos. Outside TV compartments, electric leveling, etc..... Jayco is behind a few years. I figured if they were to step up into this market a bit more they would have came out with more. Nothing was "different" in the unit I walked through, they have some different LEDs in new places, but that was all I could see that stood out. I have all the brochures, layouts and info on the Seismics and I didn't see anything out of the norm. I like Jayco and would buy in a heartbeat if they would step it up to compete a bit more.

So, is the seismic line going to replace the Recon line or just be a whole new line? I looked on Jayco website and they do not have naything on the seismic.

From the video I liked what I saw. I noticed it was only 2 axle compared to the 3 axle Recon line. Wonder if there will be a shorter version than the 3210 in the video - I assume around 32 feet in length.

Thanks again Mav for the info, wasn't impressed enough to want to get rid of the Recon, but then again there's nothing out there that impresses me enough to get rid of the Recon. Sure there are some toyhaulers out there that have some pretty fufu things going on but the Mrs and I don't spend anytime in the trailer except for sleeping. We really do have an expensive bed on wheels, we're to busy riding or just sitting outside enjoying life around the fire.

Amen. This is exactly how I see it now. The wife is the same way, sept she does spend some time indoors while camping. I prefer to be outside at all times.....

Mav interesting preservative. I thought the same thing back in 2005, at the time when we bought our Raptor I looked close at the Jayco but they were going with dual axles instead of triple and thus really pushing the weight limits, I thought then that they were running behind the market too. The other quality manufacturer that does this is Northwood. The Desert Fox line is rugged and all season, but it's missing a lot of updates. I liken it to stepping in to house built in the 90's and one built in the 70's, sure maybe the same floorplan but all the upgrades & updated style are missing.
