3 inches is a lot. Back in 1986 I had to raise my Lance camper and just slid a sheet of 3/4 inch plywood under the camper. If you used one sheet of plywood, then some 2 by 4s on their side to support the camper and second sheet of ply it would raise it 3 inches.

How about a couple of truck pallets front to rear and a piece of 1/2" Plywood on top of it?

I was wondering if you could use a sheet of 1" plywood and a sheet of 2" foam.
The reason I thought of the foam was to keep the weight down. You will also need a rubber mat on the plywood. I am just not sure foam would work or not.

I use a high density foam board under mine. It can be found at the big box stores fairly cheap. If you go that route just make sure its the high density, you will know right away if its not, it will smash down to nothing a few miles down the road.

I think it would take a lot less weight if you just built a framework out of the 2x4s on their side spacing the 2x4s say, 16" on center, like house studs.... As stated here though, a rubber mat in the bed will be really helpful to keep it from moving.

I assume the camper has a timber frame underneath like mine - you could simply fabricate and attach another timber frame underneath of the required height. You also have an option of making that into a form of basement storage with lockers at the back.

I used 2" pink foam board on top of a rubber mat to raise my camper. Insulates the floor beautifully. Like Bigfootchevy said, add a piece of plywood to get 3". Cheap and lightweight.
