I can't find anything about this, so here it goes.
Leveling side to side with a slide out, how?
Do you level leaving the slide side slightly higher so that the weight of the slide makes you level or not? This is my first camper with a slide out. I was hoping to level with the slide out, pull the slide in and set the levels dead center even if it actually slightly off, that way when the slide is out its center.
Am I thinking right?

Level with slides IN, then put the slides out!
Unless you have an extremely heavy slide, you shouldn't have any dip from it...or at least not enough to really notice.

If you want to be exact, figure out how much your rig settles from left to right when you extend the slide, and compensate by that same amount when you first set up. Then you don't have to open and close the slide during set up. For me, the weight shift is so slight that it's not worth it.

The manual for my Jayco says to level side to side; unhitch; level front to back; extend the stabilizers; extend the slides. You may want to see what you manual recommends if you have one. I had a previous TT where the manufacturer said to level; extend slides; extend stabilizers.

Here is how we do it with your slide.
We level front to back and then we level side to side.
Then we put the slide out and recheck side to side.
Seems we rarely have to re-do side to side, but once in awhile we have to do a minor adjustment to the side to side.

In our previous fifth wheel which had 2 slides, one large on the drivers side leave it slightly high on that side. Once you do it once you will know how much (Half a bubble, one bubble.. etc.) to leave it off. We did this because my DW found it was off or would settle slightly off over time once the slides were out... Like it was suggested.. Give it a try and see what happens with your specific setup. You'll get a feel for it..
On Edit.. the ground cover may also play a roll in if it's needed or not.. on a cement pad maybe not.. on sand.. maybe the weight of the slide might be enough to make that side sink a bit.. Don't think there is a hard fast rule.. Just experience and that comes with time..

I like the slide to slope very slightly downwards. That way if it rains any drips go OUT, not in. I set it up that way, THEN put out slide. Note I am talking under an inch off level, in our case front higher than back where rear slide lives.

We level front to back then side to side, extend the stabilizers on the slide side, extend the slide, then extend the stabilizers on the off-slide side.
If you extend the stabilizers all around then extend the slide the off-slide ones will probably have to be extended a little more to make up for the slide tilt in the camper due to the extended slide.

Also a 23SS with the 12' slide. We level side to side first, then deal with the front to back. Stabilizers down and then the slide goes out. We carry the set of leveling blocks and have only needed to use them possibly once each season. Our favorite CG is nearly dead level on all but one of our fav sites. It's a great site, but DH hates to pick that one since it's an in & out, back & forth, trial & error PITA. Once we get settled, he loves it.
