I think you might need professional help on this one and that help might well cost more than 35 bucks, but "Noted in the confirmation E-Mail" to me, sounds what a friend once called "A little late in the day".. At this time you have already MADE the confirmation, It needs to be noted UP FRONT in most states.
I do not know CA law.
Oh, the friend,, Well he'd just bought some drugs from a dealer, And as the back up team closed in the dealer said "you a cop" his reply was "Bit late in teh day to ask that isn't it" (Of course he's a cop, and yes it was a bust).

Hi All.
Well, we have never heard of it being done this way before ourselfs. All we can really say is: "Its Great To A Be Boondocker Most All Of The Time" We have B of A also, I called once on a problem and B of A's Fraud Division had me on the phone when they called the Business that I complained about. But I could not say anything, except to the lady at B of A. I was allowed to listen in. The place I complained about could not hear me. The Lady at B of A, told them she would hold, while they made the Correction, and Refuned our Money, right now, or face charges. They complied instantley. The whole thing only lasted about 3 minutes and I had our money credited back into or account, and Verified by B of A. B of A also warned them, any further charges and Legal Action would be persued. I can't speak for other Banks, but B of A deosn't mess around. I would call your Credit Card Company, no matter who it is. If you still have all of your paper work from your stay, you could always fax then copies and that should help prove your point. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill

Calif has some of the highest elect rates in west. It is $.15 per KW. Adds up fast if you use electric heater.

I have a truck camper and most campgrounds I seem to end up at want anywhere from $8 to $10 for one NIGHT. They dont list elect seperately but that is the difference between 'hookups' and 'primative' or something.
I think they think Im one of those 250K motor homes with two ACs on the roof.

Wow...I can run my stick house for that. Your stick house has much better insulation than a pop up with a roof air conditioner. You stick house probably doesn't have three air conditioners like a 40 ft pusher has. You stick house may not have an electric water heater, like RVs do. You probably yell at your kids if they take too long to close the door when they go outside when the heat or AC is on when you are at your stick house, we see RVs with the doors and windows wide open and the AC or heater cranking full blast all the time.

Dispute it through your card company. Before you call them, make a list of rates at similar campgrounds in the area. In most states they must clearly display exceptions to the general rules that apply to most facilities. If they are charging for electric on a weekly stay and none or few of the other campgrounds do, then your card company will credit it back to you and begin a review of the businesses practices.

I do know the CA law as I just looked it up for an issue at another park. If they are charging you for metered service they must give you a bill showing the beginning and ending readings. They also need to post the rates they pay.
