Been looking at a lot of floor plans to find the 5th wheel that we want. I'd like a corner kitchen with more counter space and my husband wants to beable to sit in his chair and look straight at the tv and not have to swivel his chair. All this with two slides in the living room....more room as have three dogs. Seems you always have the chairs on slide and TV hidden to left. Then you have the ones with chairs on the end and TV to left/right slide. Wonder if you can switch the reclining chairs and sofas spots and still put the slide in....that way facing the tv...slide to slide. We also have a problem with my husband being 6'3" and going up into the bedroom....head hits the light in the ceiling on alot of trailers. It has been tough to find a trailer we are really happy with for the money we have to spend. I light the ones with the living room where the bedroom normally is.....but usually 38 feet or longer...now we're getting too long for us.

Alawys tuff finding that perfect flooplan Not sure if you've seen the Cougar 331MKS but the kitchens looks like what your describing and the J-longers are very comfortable to lay on and watch TV. I'm 6' 2" tall and only have to stoop a little in the nose of our Cougar 327RES, but I only sleep up there so not a deal breaker for me. It is long coming in at 36.6' but it's lighter starting dry at a weight of 10k. It may help to post what you have for a tow vehical.

Check out Open Range. We are very happy with ours and it has most of what you're looking for in the 345RLS and my 6' 4" BIL can stand anywhere in our rig and still have plenty of head room. Our unit is only 35 ft long too and lighter than most.

Look at the Nuwa Discover Hitchhiker 330. It has nice rear recliners, but also a great kitchen design with lots of drawers and storage. Part of the kitchen is on the slide with the couch and the rest is on the wall going up to the bath. Really nice!

Just like in your sticks & bricks house you can move your furniture around, especially when there are opposite slides in the living area.
With nearly 12 feet across when the slides are open, you could move the recliners into the center directly across from the TV and still have room to walk around the recliners.
We usually move our dining table into the center and use two of the chairs. This gives us more room at our desk (we added the desk in the dining area)and we still have plenty of room to get around the table.
For the bedroom area, I'm 6ft 3" and I have to bend my head to walk around. However the only time I'm in the bed area is to sleep or grab clothes out of the front closet. I dress in the bathroom area where there is plenty of ceiling height. So I'm willing to put up with a little inconvenience for the short times when I need to stand up in the bed area.
Our kitchen is at the curbside rear of our 5th wheel. We have cabinets and counters running from side to side across the back of the trailer. We are very happy with this setup except the sink is set too far back so you have to lean over to use it like when washing the dishes.

I think Jayco Eagle and Pinnacle both have a rear kitchen layout. I looked at their stuff when I was looking, but basically at the superlite HT towable one and two of the HT ones had, I think rear kitchens.

Depending on how much 5th wheel you want Drv, Elite/Mobile Suites has some great floor plans and you can get some custom changes if you order. Drv in 2012 has a walk-in type closet in the new floor plans. Drv also came out with a Toy Hauler and a new 5th wheel called Tradition, the Tradition can be towed with a 3/4 ton HD truck.. But the Drv Elite/Mobile Suites aren't light weights and you will need a 1 ton on most of the Suites. However your Suites will be riding on a 15" frame, with the some of the best R factors on the market due to the 3 1/4" walks. We have 3 different floor plans to get the floor plan we wanted. Drv made every custom change we ask for.. Happy Trails....
