I just bought this 2005 Dutchman Northshore 5th wheel and the tire was blown out and you can see the damage. Where is the best place to get parts. I will need the plastic fender skirt and I think it would be easiest to buy the new alum trip piece. Any help would be great as I am new to camping. I bought this as a repo and do not have any dealer support and i am willing to fix it myself.

I called NU-Wa and had the parts in a few days so I would think you could call Dutchman and get the parts. Don't do like I did and not order the little braces that was broken.

Good luck

I agree call Dutchman and see if they have any of your fenders in stock. This is a common problem. I have repaired my fender wells on our present fiver on three separate occasions over the years.

I finally stopped having tire failures and doing the trailer repair when I switched to Michelin XPS ribbed tires six years ago. They cost more than most tires, but I have saved by not having anymore fender and fender well repairs.

Good luck. I used to have a Dutchman and they were TERRIBLE to deal with in regard to parts. It took them the better part of two months to get me a replacement window when I still had the warranty on the 5er.

As far as the aluminum goes, any body shop can custom fab that for you.

As Road Runner stated, this is a common problem. I'll be picking up my Sea Hawk from the dealer on Thursday to repair the damage from the tire separation I had earlier this year.

If you can't work with Dutchman for parts, get the aluminum made like was mentioned. Then work with Pelland Enterprises to see if you can get the fender skirt:

I plan to call Dutchmen today. I didnt know that a body shop could get the metal. That was what I am most concerned about finding. I will check that out. Thanks for the input!

PPL Motorhomes also carries parts
http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv_parts_rv_accessories.htm

Talk to one of the customer service reps, they may be able to order what you need.

I'm not sure my damage was as severe as yours...
I got a replacement fender from ICONdirect.com. Get the measurements from the intact fender. Shipping was pricy as they're in Canada...
My Alumimun skirt wasn't too ragged for too far, so I just pounded it back out out with a hammer and a steel angle (Body Tools would have been neater/better). Still a little dimpled/uneven, but so what?
Finished with Krylon White Auto Spray Paint from Wal-Mart applied along entire lower trim.

Contact the tire manufacturer, send the blown out tire to the manufacturer along with a damage repair estimate from an RV dealer and they should pay for a new tire and the damage to the trailer. Thats the way it has always worked for me with goodyear and carlisle trailer tires.
