Have not owned a Cedar Creek, so can't really say.
But when shopping, Cedar Creek, Cardinal, and Montana were our short list. Looked at all several times. All seemed comparable in quality and price. And we liked them all. But we kept coming back to the Montana. Something about it appealed more than the others. Lots of little things that are hard to explain.
Have had the Montana for nearly 5 yrs. Almost no problems with it. Would definitely buy another if we ever decide to trade.
Look them over until you feel you find the one you like best, and go for it.

We chose the Montana, and are very happy with our choice, but that doesn't make it right for you. Look at both floor plans and infrastructure and pick the one that fits you and what you intend to do with it.

Before i bought my Daydreamer i sat around a campfire with a bunch of fiver' owners and asked the same question, all i heard was how Forest River /Cedar Creek backs their product, all the keystone owners (exept the one who sold his montana fiver' and bought a silverback)had nothing good to say about keystone, exept how the graphics are peeling and how keystone offered to sell them new montana decals to keep their name on their product, look around and talk to a proud Forest River/Cedar Creek owner,we're not hard to find, just look for the cool lookin' fiver's and their owners with a real satisfied look on their face enjoying their rig!

We went back and forth between Montana and Cedar Creek and went with the Cedar Creek. We love the floor plan of the 36RE and the quality of workmanship. Compare the two and see which one you like the best both are great units.

Pick the one you like - you're wasting time trying to analyse the quality. They are both inconsistent within themselves let alone as competitors.
