My brand new Itaska roof leaks at the front end. The stripping came off the windshield and the dealer just popped it back on. I got home and it was loose again. Dealer sold out to Camping World. Any one know how to keep the stripping on? I told the folks at Winnebago but just got a letter back teling me to take it back to the dealer again. Man what a lousy break.

I had a side window seal fall out of my TT. I used clear silicon to glue it back in and seal the window so nothing can get in. Mine was just glass to the aluminum frame and the rubber seal. I would not use the silicon on the roof or any other part of the TT but the window was ok.

Dan, what are you doing swith the two Honda Gensets AND the 5.5? I have been thinking of getting a couple of the Honda quiet jobs to run my a/c's when dry camping. My 5.5 is wat too noisy to sleep with.

Since this is a new motorhome and possibly still under warranty, I would recommend finding a motorhome repair facility to order and replace the stripping. My windshield rubber stripping is not as tight as when new so I used black rubber moisture resistant tape from Lowe's to seal it against the roof cap to stop water from getting in. You will find it in the electrical parts section. Because the tape is black, it is hardly noticeable. It only took two 4 ft. rolls to do the top of the windshield. This will work until you can get it replaced by a repair facility.

We've found if a dealer doesn't produce satifactory repairs we call the manufacturer and get a list of "authorized repair facilities".
We "discovered" this from results of our full timers needing warranty repairs. Most manufacturers are happy to give you places that will do warranty repiars to your satifaction as it's their brand name on the line.

you've had a least 8 topics posted in two days regarding your brand new Itasca in one of them you state it's out of warranty, not brand new. Why don't you post one topic with all of your problems?

Hi Jerry/

We have had our twin Honda EU2000is, Paralla Kit and Extended Run Tank for 8 years or so now. We originally bought them when we had our 5er. No way I was going to let the Honda''s go with eh 5er when we sold it. They are such a great Generator, we decided to just keep them, even though I could sell them for a pretty nice price. Yes we do have a Generac 5.5G Built-In Generator also, which works perfectly. I do rotate the use between both brands of Generators. I keep all of them well maintained and exercized. For running down the road or for short term usuage, we use the Generac Generaotor. For long term usage, we use the twins, Paralla Kit and use the Extended Run Tank. There are a couple of reasons for us anyways. 1. The Honda's are so much more quiter than the Generac Generaotr. I can just use one Honda EU2000i, for Battery Chargeing and just running all the normal stuff. I only need to Paralla them if I need to run our two A/C's. 2. The Honda/Honda's use so much less gas to operate them, compaired to the Generac Generator. The Twin Honda's sure are a lot quiter than the Generac Generator. Using either just one Honda or both Honda's, they will run for a very long time on the Extended Run Tank. Having the Generac 5.5 G Generator and the twin Honda EU2000i's, I can run anything I want to, any time I want to. With a couple of good Extension Cords, I can easily go beyond our Motorhomes 30 amp limit. We do mostly all Boondocking, and where we usually go, Solar Power is not an option for us, just to many tress and shade to make it worth while. We have our Motorhome fully set up for Boondocking. Both of our TV's use very little power, and we run them off of small Inverters. Every light in our Motorhome are LED Lights, again very little power usage. And with the size of our Water Tank, Black Tank & Gray Tank, we can stay out Boondocking so quite a while. Not having enought Generator Power for us is never an issue, that for sure. We are also set up, that we never use our Motorhomes Propanes Furance. Haven't used an RV Furance in many years now. We also have an Extended-A-Stay on our Motorhomes Propane Tank, and also have a couple of spare 30 lb Propane Tanks, that we can take along with us if we choose to. Back to the Honda's. what can we say, we love our Twin Honda EU2000i's, Paralla Kit and Extended Run Tank. Since they were already paid for, why on earth would we ever want to sell them. We just have to much need for them, and they might even out-last us. We have been RV'ers for a little over 45 years already, and still have a few more years to keep traveling on. We would buy those Honda's again in a Heart Beat. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill
