Yeah, I so want one of those , though I wouldn't have as nice a BBQ on there, probably something more along the lines of a $20 propane webber clone.

How's yer grill and BBQ do for road grime and water intrusion?

They will get dirty on the outside especially down dirt roads, but just a quick shot with the hose and good to go. No problem with the water they drain very well and are not affected by the water.

They're probably too brand new still for it to be an issue, but any splash back from water washing the drippings out onto the camper's bumper step?

JHawk, from PEI had a swing away, self store camp stove/bbq grill on his truck campers bumper/jacks much like this one. I have pictures somewhere... I may have posted them in the trip report.

I was impressed...a lot of his innovations were influenced by his sail boat and his ocean going trips. I think that he could easily remove the stove portion for storage.

No mess-where they drain out the bottom is out past the bumper, It is going on 6 years and I have never had to clean the bumper.

Both the BBQ and stove also have a set of drawer slides incorporated into the mount so you can remove them if you want as easy as removing a drawer and remotely use them on a picnic table for example.

these are a different style but the same basic idea. I got those from a guy in Oregon for my last camper probably 15 years ago and they still work great

I also have two young boys, one is 12 now the other is 7, the whole reason for all the camping.

I have a table we use for cooking prep etc and I always put it right by the stove or bbq and I block the other with the ice chests. Originally I mounted them just on the drawer slides bolted right to the top of the bumper. I burned myself getting out of the camper the first time out. Enjoy every moment with those boys!

Mine are 5 and 7. I'm on a first name bases at the ER and can get there in under 3 minutes. Like I tell them, if you're going to act stupid you better be tough.

Oddly I'm a fairly strict parent...

Wonderful! Leave it to the TC guys to come up with innovative ideas and then implement them!
