Worthless unless you are going to watch it on a 24/7 basis...

Money well spent would be towards getting yourself a multi-function surge protector or autoformer...

Seems like this may also have a use in solar charge tracking, for those that want to optimize their systems. The key would be in the logging. Getting the time of day and input info with which adjustments can be made and test again.

Hi Go Blue,

I fail to see how your reply pertains to data logging?

And such surge protection is essentially useless to me. A case of the emperor's new clothes. I doubt there is an autoformer in my future either. For the cost of those I could at least double my solar harvest abilities.

I may have to start my generator for more than exercise on my next trip--but we shall see. If so, it will be the first time since 2008 in the fall.

Even though I work in the industry, all of these high tech gadgets just boggle my mind. A small, low cost device with multiple A-D inputs that transmits the info wirelessly. There's just no end to nifty gadgets!

Considering the inaccuracy, erratic readings and failure rate, I can't imagine getting involved in a project like that.
