I'm going to try to replace my bathroom fan in my RV's bathroom. This may not be the best idea but I want to try to do it myself. Can someone suggest where to get a replacement fan and how to install it? I need to get one online so what websites sell the fans? The only suggestion I have gotten from another forum is to try this Bathroom Fan site. If you have used them, can you please give me a review so that I know what I'm getting into? Thanks for the help!

I have rebuilt my two 17 year old Fantastic Vent Fans over the years with free parts from the company. If you have one, call them for advice on the operating problem.
They are great for service.

You should have a Fantastic Fan brand in your RV, majority of RV fans are made by Fantastic Fan. You do not say what is wrong with yours but the Fantastic Fan company is very customer oriented and will ship you any parts that are broken. I would get the model number, serial number and call them and discuss your problem with them. Here is their web site: http://www.fantasticvent.com/

I replaced my little whirr and buzz bathroom fan with a Maxxaire type. removed the old blade, left the tiny motor put, the maxxaire type did not require any removal of frames, etc. recaulking, etc. just bolt the hood/fan over the existing opening, mount the control in the corner of the opening and connect wires to the old existing 12 volt supply.
just do not have the door closed, run the fan on high, and flush the potty.

Would recommend visiting this blog...they do a great job of walking you through a step by step process of replacing your bathroom fan. They make it look rather easy...good luck.

We replaced ours with one of these vent fan Easy to install from inside no need to go on roof. It moves a lot of air, but is a little noisy, but that can cover up some other noises if you know what I mean.

What’s wrong with the one that’s in there? And if there is one there can't you just get a new vent to match with the old one?
