Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed we were the red headed step children. I'll check out the CampingLife and TrailerLife publications.

I'm a ""Prez Member'' or whatever at camping world because its cheaper then the local RV stores and has 10 times the stuff. But yea the never ending junk mail from Good Sam Club/Camping World is insane. Luckily there is a blue recycling bin 5 feet from my PO Box....

Shop up north in Portland, Wager's and Highway have always been rather overpriced on stuff. If ya go a little further north of the camping world in Wilsonville there's RV Parts Outlet up in the Sherwood/Tualatin exit area.

Thanks I'll have to look that new store up soon. The main reason for camping world is they are open on the weekends extended hours which is the only time I'm in the greater Portland Area. And the Wilsonville store is easy to get to and park at...

And there are many. Folks with TCs often enschew those parks in favor of less developed ones. At our age, we don't need or want game rooms, pools, and water slides.... Much less on site cabanas and "coach house" ment to supplement the amenities found in your 45' super cruiser.

Our preference are USFS, USACOE, NP, and state parks but have been known to use Walmarts and even high speed rail parking lots.....

I subscribe to the electronic version of TL and find the occasional article. Really Truck Camper Magazine is the very best with "Overland Journal" being a close print second for the overland enthusiast.

The publisher of Motorhome Magazine, Camping Life, and Trailer Life magazines has a truck camper! His name is Bob Livingston.

Then why doesn't he publish at least one article per quarter about them? Curious...
